Furniture Friday #05 - Crocodile Cable
Careful! They bite!
Furniture Friday #04 - Slippers
A pair of animate bat-themed slippers. When not worn, they can fly.
Furniture Friday #03 - Subway Train
This is 81-71M Jr. A somewhat peculiar Mimic that takes the form of a chibified subway train. As a result, he has trouble activating his disguise. In the end, he attempts to mitigate this by pretending to be a mascot, but even that doesn't always work out; he's still made out of flexible metal.
Bonus entry! I managed to draw another Mimic / Living Object within the Friday timeframe.
Meet Bobby-Q the BBQ.
Furniture Friday #02 - Inflatable Boat
Here comes Utah the Inflatable Boat. He calls himself Utah because that's what he found written on his body when he first awakened as a Mimic.
Furniture Friday #01 - TV Camera
Jeez, I haven't posted anything here in a loong time. Time to remedy that.
I decided to create myself an art challenge in the form of designing a living object OC every Friday, hence the title of this challenge - Furniture Friday. It doesn't have to be furniture, it just had to be a living object.
I added four more Inflatable Friends.. Enjoy.
Note that Bubbles is partially based off a zorb bubble.
It began with Kyle, and now it continues into a group of characters that call themselves the Inflatable Friends. These sentient pool toys share the ability of controlled inflation/deflation, being able to go from a completely crumpled mass of rubber to giant balloons in a matter of seconds. Each member deals with their ability in different ways for different sitations.
Even though there are way more Inflatable Friends that were found, these eight formed the original members, with at least five more waiting for a visible depiction.
They found shelter in a large underground indoor pool that is part of a large mansion, where they found safety from any potential freaks kidnapping them.
I've recently stumbled upon inflatable/pooltoy furries, so I decided to make my own, since living pooltoys are possible in my world due to the "if it looks like an animal it is an animal" rule. Another reason for his creation is that I wanted to make a companion for my friend's OC.
Kyle used to be a regular pool toy that happened to look like an aquatic dragon, but it became sentient, turning into what Kyle is now.
Day 10 of the Daily Creature Challenge, and here comes a flying bat plane! I have seen a lot of plane dragons, but I haven't seen a plane bat before, so here's an attempt to remedy that.
Day 9 of my daily creature challenge brings a kangaroo backpack.
It hops playfully when not worn.
Day 8 of daily creature challenge, and with it, I present... ...street lamp snakes.
They usually idle during the day, but their activity spikes durink the night, where they'll come out of their spots, following anyone they meet. Maybe they even let you hop on them and they'll give you a ride if you're polite enough! Just make sure you give them a nice headpat afterwards, they love headpats and belly rubs.
For Day 7 of my daily creature challenge, I made a dumpster frog. It feeds on garbage, so throwing your trash bags in it is encouraged. This concluded my first week of this challenge.
Day 6, and with it, a Metro M1Dragon. For this one, I decided to turn the train that runs on Line C of the Prague Metro into a dragon. Since the train lacks any pantographs that conduct electricity, it's forked metal tongue which used to be a coupler does the job. It sometimes sparks, so better be careful. Since this train can't fit its legs through the tunnels, it has been taken out of regular service, instead promenading the city on special occasions, in an alternate universe where all my creatures are canon in. "Ukončete výstup a nástup, dveře se zavírají."
Day 5 of my daily creature challenge, and with it... a chameleon guitar. To be honest, I like the tongue-as-string gimmick.
Day 4 of the Daily Creature Challenge, and with it, a couch cat.
Here comes Day 3 of my Daily Creature Challenge, and with it, a sleeping bag snake slithers in.
