        Eyes narrow at the girl who so carelessly invades the monster's den. A brief flare of hunger overpowers him, making fingers twitch, but the beast must realize he's taken this power already, and has no reason to attack... yet. So for now, the man remains in control, and he has to wonder what possessed this girl to come here.

      “Return the favor?” he asks, almost disbelieving. Except this kind of blind act is so Claire, that he really should be expecting this kind of behavior from her. “I can't decide if you're stupid, or overestimate yourself. I'm thinking a little of both.”

It was cool being a new blog and not having any drafts. It was nice while it lasted.

      Looking down at the sight of himself, Sylar’s eyes widened and then narrowed.  This couldn’t be real, could it?  He lowered himself to the man’s level, almost tempted to reach out to touch him to make sure this wasn’t his mind playing tricks on him again.  

    "Have you been seeing our mother again?  Because that’d be a pretty clear sign of insanity."

    How could this even be happening?

        Empty eyes stared into its match, the abyss meeting nothing but its own mirror image, the monster reflected with perfect clarity. And how could one move, in this state, when confronted by oneself? Fingers itched to touch, to test for themselves whether the man before him was solid, or simply a projection, an illusion. Parkman could well be behind this.

                             “Likely because our mother is dead.                      I do believe taking to dead people can be considered                                                       a sign of insanity.”

          And finally, the suspense grew too much to bear. Whether this was but a trick upon the mind, or something far more strange, he had to know. A hand came up, stopping to hover in the air between them, not yet touching, but an invitation to do so.
