The Crimson Traitor
“You idiots,” the colonel screamed at Ghidorah. “You were supposed to kill me and show that pathetic brat that you haven’t changed.” He turned to look at Destroyer, “Deal with them!”
The three heads all exchanged glances. “I wouldn’t continue to insult my brothers if I were you,” Destroyer roared at him. “In fact, I think I’ve heard quite enough.” The crimson abomination trudged towards him on their mechanical legs.
“Destroyer, what are you doing?” the colonel said as he turned to run back into the bunker. “What about the girl? Think about what she’ll do to you.” They were going to kill him.
“You installed radar systems into us and connected us to your computers,” the right head hissed. “Those people heading to Outpost 32 are still miles away.” His heart sank when they called his bluff. There was nothing to do now but run, and he ran for his life.
“You can’t escape us, Jonah,” the center head said as he chased after. Destroyer’s steps shook the earth, and Jonah fell to the ground. "I should have done this the second I was finished. How could I be so stupid to think my brothers wanted me dead?"
Jonah knew it was over, but he had one last contingency. “If you’re going to kill me, then go ahead.” He frantically dug in his coat for a second detonator, “I push this button, and your cybernetics shut down for good.”
The demon hesitated and its three heads laughed, “You don’t think that will work, do you? I can fuse with technology, and I’ve known about that override for weeks.” The colonel couldn’t believe what he was hearing; he had planned every outcome, but it wasn’t enough. “What? Don’t you have any clever insults?”
The abomination continued forward, and Jonah pressed the button, he pressed it again, and again. “You’re no better than your brothers. I should have let you all freeze in Antartica!” Destroyer reared his head back and unleashed a gravity beam at Jonah. “You’re an abomin. . .,” and then there was darkness
“As if I needed proof,” the center head said as he fanned the colonel’s ashes away.
