Portal at First Presbyterian Church Christian symbology is a fascinating aspect of church architecture and decoration. The doors in this portal include symbols of the burning bush, representing the church, the four winged beasts that symbolize the evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and a dove, likely representing the Holy Spirit.
