Cats and luck have a very love-hate relationship. While the western world, chiefly North America, views black cats to be bearers of bad luck, there are many, many places around the world that treat them as omens of good luck, fortune and prosperity. However, the opposite is the case for white cats, seen as good luck in the places that hate black cats and bad luck where black cats are beloved. Now of course there’s no validity to either claim, but should you ever encounter Rin crossing your path, consider yourself lucky.
