Why is that, exactly?
Because if that happens here, then this would basically be like the rest of Panem, wouldn't it?

Why is that, exactly?
Because if that happens here, then this would basically be like the rest of Panem, wouldn't it?
Well, not seriously.
The Peacekeepers in Eleven never liked me much, I’d get cranky after work and they’d get the brunt of it. Then again, I never liked them much.
Well.. If you do get into trouble here for whatever you say... That'd be quite interesting.
Oh, trust me, it won’t be that difficult to do. Just remember that you asked me to, for future reference. I’ve been known to get myself into a lot of trouble because of my mouth.
Have you gotten into trouble here for that yet?
Yes, but everyone knows it’s terrible. Do you really want to dwell on it more than you have to? I understand the situation, it doesn’t mean I have to wallow in it. I have other things to worry about. I’m thinking it may not be if these outbursts continue, I apologize.
I suppose you're right. ..No, no. You're fine. It's actually quite refreshing. Please, speak your mind more often.
That’s alright— honesty is as good a policy as any. She smiled weakly. It’s alright, it’s not like you made the decision. Sometimes things just happen, and there’s nothing that can be done. Oh, I’m Holly. Newly inducted refugee. It’s lovely to meet you.
It's not alright. It's.. terrible. But that's war, I guess. Pleasure meeting you too, Holly.
Well, that was… frank. That’s— a nice way to look at it. Oh, I’m from Eleven, which— might as well not be there at this point, there’s not much of it left to do anything with. Which is why I’m here. So, I suppose I can thank the Capitol for that.
I'd rather not lie about the place. ..So that's two districts laid to waste. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Glad I'm not affiliated with them anymore. I couldn't bear.... I'm sorry to hear about it. I'm Alaric, by the way.
That’s very true, but I’m hesitant to disobey. I blame my childhood entirely. Everyone’s got dark pasts at this point, I’m learning not to be surprised. Do you like it here? I mean, in comparison to the Capitol I guess. I don’t know what it’s like there.
Oh, no. I despise it here. Even still, after being here for a year. Can't complain, though. I followed my fiance here, and we're together, so that's all that matters. How about you, where are you from?
3/? sherlock holmes is just gorgeous caps
I’m trying really hard not to get into trouble here, but there’s something to be said about rule-breaking. Oh… that’s— well, you’re here now. And, more or less safe. That counts for something, right?
We're in a war. I hardly think going above ground without clearance will get you into serious trouble. ..Not the best job, I know that now. Yeah. I'm here.
Your guess is as good as mine, it’s not like I’m a threat. I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping I get a job that involves going outside soon, it’d be nice. Are you… from around here?
You can always keep whoever's in charge of schedules for a few hours outside. Or you can always not listen and go anyway. No, I'm not from around here. I was a.... I was a Gamemaker.
Thank you for that enlightening tidbit of information. I’m not a recluse, I’ve been outside in my life. They just won’t let me go up there, and won’t tell me why. I wonder if they think I’ll run away, though that’s fucking idiotic considering— er, sorry.
Quite all right. They have their reasons for everything. Though I do wonder why they'd keep above ground activities out of one's schedule..
Well, it’s been a while here— I think I can safely say I’ve never missed trees quite as much as I do right now. Hell, I’m even starting to miss Eleven and that’s just sad.
There are quite a lot of them above ground.
Possibilities and Probabilities - Part One
The war was never going to be won by the Capitol. Alaric knew it, and he knew that Theodore did as well. So, why were they still fighting each other? He knew that Theodore would have created simulation upon simulation, trying to get the out come that he wanted, and failed. Alaric did it in secret. He succeeded all the time.
So.. why were they still fighting? Was it for the pride? They could both just quit and easily make a peace treaty instead, saving the countless lives that were already dying today.
Alas, human lives didn't seem to be top priority anymore. He knew his brother wouldn't back down. Savera wouldn't let him, and because he could care less about the lives he holds in the palms of his hands, he would keep the orders coming. Kill or be killed.
He wonders if his brother has ever told Savera. Would he dare? And if he would, what would she say? Would she ignore him? Would she not care about the human lives as well and keep fighting anyway? She had to have a secret hiding place that only the people closest to her in the office knew about. If she did.... Was Savera just biding her time?
It was possible. Alaric could see it. Then it would take another-- however long to find her. She could even already be in a bunker right now. And each time the rebels look for her she could already be moving to another bunker. The possibilities of all the things that could happen were endless.
Closing his notebook, Alaric sighed. There were some things he just couldn't put into simulation. Savera and her whereabouts being one of them. The amount of lives lost, being another. However difficult some simulations were, he knew that the probability that the amount of lives lost would be higher than all other wars ever documented was high.
That’s a strange errant thought. I guess someone would have to research rockets and rocket fuel before they could get to the moon again. Hello, love.
I just find it strange we as a human race have made it this far-- and still haven't colonized and terraformed other planets.
I swear, this is going to boggle my mind until I die.
Hm.. what?
Hm, I wonder if we're ever going to get to space again. I was just reading about the first landing of the moon and all that. Also, hello.
Hm..
Oh, Sherlock…
