Wicked review (light spoilers)
So I just watched the movie Wicked. I didn't have a lot of expectations but from I've seen about it, it seemed pretty good. Oh boy was I not expecting it to be this bad. It's a 4/10 for me.
Why? Let's break it down in simple points. This is my opinon btw, if you like the movie good for you.
1 - Why is everyone so judgemental and mean at the school? You're telling me that they are no decent people going to this school? No one is neutral and no one asks why are we bullying a girl because of her skin color?
2 - Still on the topic of Elphaba's skin color: Shouldn't green be seen as an emblatic and luxurious color because of Emerald City? Strangely, everyone student seems to think green is an hideous color.
3 - None of the songs are that good. I can't remember a single one and I love musicals.
4 - This movie is about 2h45 minutes and they still couldn't sell Elphaba's and Glinda's friendship. It feels extremely forced.
5 - The love triangle. Sighs. This movie is full of cliches.
6 - A lot of ilogical stuff. Oh, Elphaba didn't mean to use magic at the entrance ceremony? Then why did she raised her arms like it was intended? The Wizard asking his guards to find the intruder but not describing what she looks like even if a simple ''she's green'' would have been enough.
I rate it 4/10 because they were also some good things: the visuals, the effects and I liked Elphaba's personality.
