I got inspired to design my own version of Link and Zelda and may have gotten a little bit attached woops.
EXTRA DETAILS BELOW IF UR INTERESTED:
For the timeline, these two are placed after Twilight Princess. TP!Zelda is this Zelda’s great grandmother.
Link works for her parent’s potion shop, she delivers their potions to people and general stores all across Hyrule. I imagine in a game setting you would deliver potions as part of side quests and use the shop’s alchemy station as a cooking mechanic.
The goggles that Link wears are magic goggles gifted to her by Impa. I can see it functioning as a “Lens of Truth” type item that allows her to see through illusions (which becomes very relevant).
Unlike her other counterparts, this Zelda is HATED by her people. They don’t like the way she disregards people’s feelings in favor of finding the most logical way to solve civil conflicts. Awful rumors are often spread about her. She doesn’t notice this.
Zelda was given combat training by Impa mostly bc of Hyrule’s history of being taken over by evil. She wanted to be able to defend herself and her people should something like that happen during her time. She also just respects Impa a lot as a mentor figure.
Link had a major crush on Zelda when they were kids. Now that they’re no longer close she thinks she got over it, but girl is in denial big time. If the subject is brought up, she gets rly pathetic and tsundere abt it.
Zelda sees Link as weak and a bit of a thorn in her side. She hates how stubborn and reckless she is. Part of her wishes Link would give up and tells her to “stop pretending you’re a hero” bc internally, she thinks Link will get herself killed and doesn’t want that.
They basically have that dynamic where they are rly brutal towards each other and have a lot of unprocessed feelings, but also ultimately know everything abt each other and will sacrifice themselves for the other no questions asked.
To elaborate on the plot stuff, basically Zelda gets trapped in a mirror which was actually a gateway to a “mirror world.” Its basically Hyrule but everything looks reversed and it kinda looks like a dark fucked up version of the SS Silent Realms.
When Zelda and Link both look into a reflective surface at the same time, they can see and talk to each other. This happens the first time on complete accident btw.
Perchance these two learn that they have to work together to get Zelda back to Hyrule and in the process confront all their weird hangups abt each other and their awkward situationship. Who knows.
For me, I played BotW years ago and really enjoyed it but couldn’t get really into any of the other games. About a year and a half ago (I think?) I happened upon Linked Universe. I didn’t know who half the cast was but I was SMITTEN. After that I started ALBW and it was all over for me.
Uuuh… ages ago, when the earth was young and Dinosaurs were still the dominant species… ( read: when I was a kid ^^) I played ALTTP with my brother and my mom.
Had on and off phases of Zelda affection ( aka “growing up “) until I got myself a Switch and BotW and realized why I love Zelda.
Discovered LU some years ago. Joined tumblr last year because I enjoyed reading fanfic. The rest is history ^^

I've been into the LoZ for as long as I can remember! My family were fans of it way before I was born lol. So I've grown up with it, and am still just as, if not even more, obsessed with it :)

when I was little I didn’t get to play any console games, but my parents bought me and my brother a switch when I was 11. My first loz game was the links awakening remake, and from there the rest of the switch games. Since then I’ve played a good number of the other ones (emulators…borrowing friend’s consoles…I’m pulling all sorts of shenanigans 😭) and I really really love this series! I haven’t beaten all the games or read all the manga yet, but I’m working on it >:) Aiming to beat the rest of the games before I graduate high school :D (So far: 11 games beaten)

I didn't get tagged but I still thought this would be fun!
I discovered LOZ in middle school when my English teacher randomly had the 2nd Twilight Princess manga in her collection and the only reason I read it was because I thought TP Link was super hot and I wanted to drool over the panels, but then I got HOOKED. It's been like 6 years and I'm terrible at video games, so I've only played BOTW (the Hinox battle music makes me want to scream), but, predictably, I want to try Twilight Princess at least once <3

Zelda games have always been a part of my life! Some of my earliest memories are watching my oldest sister play OoT on the N64. Growing up I sucked (still kinda do) at actually playing video games but I've been working my way through all of them recently and have now finished most of them!
Fun fact: I didn't actually know his name was Link until highschool! My sister came up with some weird name for her OoT playthrough and I kid you not I just assumed that was his cannon name.

I actually can’t remember pretty well how it happened since I was really young but I could swear that all began with a fun video about the zelda timeline. I was amazed and actually my love for LoZ started without playing ANY of the games because I only owned a Xbox, so I spent too many hours watching videos and reading stuff only about the lore lol.
My first zelda game was The minish cap because at that age I only knew how to emulate GBA games (thanks pokemon) in my cellphone and many years later I finallyyy got a Nintendo switch as a birthday gift with botw and now I have played almost all of the games and my childhood dream it’s fulfilled.
No pressure tags, mmmmmaybee @smilesrobotlover @silentzprincess @nameismizuki ?
i've known LoZ for a long time now since it's talked about a lot back then, but i never really showed any interest on it (i wish i did tbh). fast forward to years later, i was scrolling thru tiktok and came across this video of BOTW ending scene with princess zelda, and link was wearing a goofy ass outfit in the cutscene. and i was like "haha that's funny. i wanna play that" so i ran to the store and bought a copy of BOTW. best decision i've ever made, i was hooked, played for hours nonstop. after that, i started to learn more about the older games, and started playing them as well.

I only got into LOZ two years ago when I was watching my partner playing BOTW. The game was just so beautiful and intriguing I had to give it a go. I hadn't really played many games before, but Zelda wholly captured my imagination and I fell in love with it almost immediately.
It took me a long time to master combat without just rushing in and just going ham on everything, but I can almost do a passing dodge now. Sort of.
I've now played 6-7 Zelda games and I've loved every one!
I got into LOZ ages ago lmao my first zelda game was the wind waker actually! Got it the same year it came out for the gamecube :-) I've been a zelda fan since lol
I've played them all with the exception of zelda1 & zelda2 and the warriors games
I have eow in my to buy list though, I haven't forgotten!
I tag my bestie @michael-h-art maybe this will motivate you to finally finish your pending loz games 🤭🤭 love u friend
I was first introduced to Zelda like through most Nintendo franchises with Smash 64, would not come to own one till Twilight Princess on the Wii
I have started and stopped honestly most of them at this point, I have a terrible habit of not finishing them and I really do need to fix that at some point, the ones I have beaten are Wind Waker, Link Between Worlds, Link's Awakening Remake and the BOTW Duology
Making it a priority to finally beat Ocarina and maybe Majora this year
Ik this is hella late but ty for the tag Michael! (And to the other 2 ppl who tagged me)
I can’t remember how long ago this was, but I first got into LOZ through Windwaker HD! I remember seeing a let’s play of it on Youtube and I thought it looked rly cute and fun so I wanted to get it for myself.
Now I own most of the games, although I haven’t completed them all. I’ve beaten WW, SS (twice), OOT, BOTW, ALBW and EOW. I also have. An embarrassing amount of hours on Hyrule Warriors HD lmao
I don’t rly have anyone to tag 😭 but I encourage anyone who’s interested to share their own story!
My name is Jaber Al-Haj. I am from Gaza, married to my wife, Menna, and we have a little son named Hashim, who is less than two years old. Like any Palestinian family, we dreamed of a simple and stable life. But the recent war turned our lives upside down. The sounds of explosions never left us, and fear has become part of our daily existence. My son Hashim suffers from health problems that urgently require treatment, but the war has destroyed everything, including the healthcare system, making access to necessary medical care nearly impossible. With each passing day, our suffering deepens, and the fear for Hashim’s health and future consumes me.
Alongside my small family, I used to work with my brothers, Aboud and Bilal, on our joint project—a small lab for producing essential household cleaning products. We started this project with modest resources, dreaming that it would become a source of income to support us and provide job opportunities for our community. But the war left us with nothing. Our lab, which was once filled with life and hard work, was reduced to rubble under the bombardment. We lost our equipment, our livelihood, and with it, a part of our dreams for the future.
Even our home, our only refuge, did not escape the destruction. It was severely damaged and is now uninhabitable. We were forced to flee and live in a tent under harsh conditions unfit for human life. The cold, the heat, the lack of resources, and the absence of privacy have made life nearly unbearable. We try to cope, but every day brings new challenges and suffering.
Today, what worries me the most is my son Hashim's condition. His health is deteriorating, and he desperately needs treatment abroad. However, under the circumstances we’re living in, I lack the means to secure his travel and medical expenses. As a father, there is nothing more heartbreaking than watching my child suffer while being unable to help him.
This campaign is a lifeline for my family in our darkest hour. With your generosity, we can bring hope back into our lives and secure a better future for my son, Hashim. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a world of difference.

I like to think that as a kid, Glass would paint the triforce symbol on her hand to play pretend as the hero. Crystal wasn’t a fan of having to play the role of the princess who had to be saved, but would go along with it for Glass.
When Glass finds out she actually does have the spirit of the hero (and thus the triforce symbol appears on her hand) she proudly shows it off to Crystal, who thinks it’s just her pretending again lmao
Hi bestie! can I get some fun facts on your Zelda OC's?
Perhaps some stuff about Glass's childhood and the kinds of potions they make?
Michael, bless you for enabling me to talk abt my girls you’re a real one 🙏
Glass and Crystal are from this post btw
Since you asked about Glass’ childhood, I’ll start w/ her!
- She was born with a very weak constitution and she’s not magically inclined either. The most she can do w/ magic is use magic items like her goggles. She got into potion-making because she could make strength or stamina potions to make her stronger.
- She makes all kinds of potions really, she loves to experiment with all kinds of ingredients and effects. These experiments range from being fairly useful to unfit for Hylian consumption.
- Her parents don’t mind her using their alchemy station for experimenting, but she does have to pay for her own ingredients. So she started working for her parent’s business as a delivery girl (they don’t trust her with actually making the potions for their customers lmao).
- She has literally never used a sword in her life nor has she ever trained to use one. Impa does give her some pointers before heading off on her journey but she mainly relies on wit and potions of strength and dexterity.
Now for Crystal:
- She met Glass when they were around 5 years old. There was an illness spreading that affected the royal family, resulting in the queen’s death. Luckily, Glass’ parents managed to concoct a cure, which saved Crystal and her father.
- They played together a lot as kids, but over time Crystal became more distant. She hyper-focused on her training with Impa and researching Hyrule’s history (she finds the Twili Invasion and Hyrulean Civil War particularly interesting to read about)
- She’s very magically inclined, inheriting the goddess’ light magic. That being said, she doesn’t rly use her magic ever because she’s already strong. Why waste energy on using light magic when you can just beat them up.
- She is generally emotionally guarded, but around Glass she shows a more mischievous side. She likes to mess around with her and will make a lot of dry jokes at her expense. She is completely oblivious to Glass’ crush on her though.
I think you've shown before how your Zelda OC woul react if Link were hurt but now I wanna flip around.
How would Chain react if his Zelda got hurt? is it a quiet rage? does he start beating himself up about it (post finding out he's the hero of courage and has to keep his Zelda safe)
Or is he kinda just "eh walk it off"
I did a small comic about him worrying over her being hurt HERE
BUT I enjoy putting the blorbos in situations so! He is very protective of her actually but is SUPER tsundere about it lol Key is like that with him too but she usually responds by getting mad at him, while Chain jokes and/or denies that he cares lol
like this:
she’s losing her mind and screaming internally btw lol
Honestly rly funny that my favorite Link is characterized as a silly lil airheaded guy who loves his Zelda very much and goes on his adventure in order to save her meanwhile my Link OC is a pathetic gremlin who’s in a conflicted situationship with her Zelda and goes on her journey bc who else would lmao

And a haha funny headcanon that Demise haunts Sky in his head and sometimes lends the blorbo power (Sky is the only one who can keep Demise’s consciousness alive)
