Grimhilde smirked, “I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced. Grimhilde Jourdian,” Grimhilde extended her hand, “And that sounds like a very useful talent,” She praised, “Perhaps I can help you after all.”
The naive fairy took the woman’s hand, giving it a light shake. “Linnea Dawson,” she replied, plucking a surname off the top of her head. “Oh really! That would be absolutely flitterific!”

Grimhilde rose a brow at the girl. No talent, that’s what she’d said. How odd. Tilting her head slight, a small smile appear in the corner of her mouth, Grimhilde listened to the girl. Intently. Alchemy. Well, now that was a useful talent after all “Alchemy? My my, aren’t you just an interesting one. ”
Linnea grinned proudly, nodding lightly in confirmation of the question. “I’ve been doing it all my life. I’ve gotten quite good really. I rarely need to check my notes anymore before going to work.”

Linnea nodded like she understood, though the word alcohol was foreign to her. “Well I highly doubt it. I’m not exactly from around here.” Wherever here was.

“Are you…are you making some kind of magic potion?” Snow laughed the words, not with mocking but genuine affection. “No. I don’t have any here. But I do have some at my home. I love making tinctures and flowery drinks, so I’ve made a few vials of flower essence myself? Really though, may I ask what you’re making?
“Well, not a potion per se,” Linnea replied, her smile genuine. She lowered her voice, inching closer to the other in order to ensure that no one else could overhear. “To be honest, I’m making a few different types of pixie dust. I don’t know what kinds I might need in this strange world and I’d like to be prepared.”
This sounds like a fun game.

The fairy shook her head. “I have no talent for food. My talent is for-” she cut off, trying to think if her talent had a place in this world. She recalled an old book that told of alchemy being practiced on the Mainland. “Alchemy. I have a talent for alchemy.”

“Unfortunately I don’t. Those are so lovely though. The fact that they only bloom at night is very magical. I do have some white lilies if you’d like.”
Linnea shook her head. “Thank you, but what I have in mind specifically calls for moonflower. Perhaps, however, you may be able to help me with something else. I am also in need of sunflower seeds and flower essence if you have either of those.”

“That’s exactly what I said, and the person looked at me like I was mad. Oh, sorry. I sometimes forget that not everyone uses the same words. Clumsies are what we call humans back home.”

“A good place to start is to stop talking to yourself.” Grimhilde retorted, fingers tapping against her phone absentmindedly.
Linnea glanced up at the woman who’d spoken to her, frowning slightly. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware. Sometimes my inside thoughts become outside thoughts.”
“Alright Linnea, you need to find a job to make money so that you can buy things,” the small girl muttered to herself. “But where am I supposed to find a job?”

Linnea read the large sign, a look of confusion on her face as she turned to the man beside her. “Excuse me, but what’s a bar?”

“No, I didn’t. Honestly, if it were up to me, I wouldn’t be doing any sort of walking at all.”

Belle tried pushing her way through the crowded street, New York was very different from the small town she grew up in. In New York you have to weave through and fight against the crowd. It was then that she accidentally ran right into someone. “Oh I’m sorry.” She rushed to apologize, maybe she shouldn’t be zoning out.
Linnea stumbled backwards as the other woman bumped into her, flailing slightly to regain her balance. “Oh, it’s quite alright. I wasn’t really paying attention to where I was going. This place is...very distracting.” She glanced around at the flashing lights and the large crowds of people. “It’s very different than home.”
