I can generally get along with most people, but I've really never felt truly accepted or welcome within the queer or autistic community, or seemed to share quite the same philosophy or interests. Not that we had to agree on everything, of course- but I felt like an outsider nonetheless. The same goes, obviously, of cishet, non-neurodivergent people. Trying to connect unfortunately at this point seems like a lot of effort, risk, and time for not a lot of reward. So now I spend most of my time on hobbies, work, and attempting self-improvement.
And yet above, I stated that I was very lonely. Desperate for understanding and companionship despite the simultaneous fear and dislike of attempting to be perceived or known? Why, that's a juicy contradiction!
