I want to tell you all about my First Love.

We were inseparable at school. We'd tell each other stories, play tag, and she even convinced me to try eating grass once. After my dad died, she was one of the two people I felt I could talk to about it; I think she mourned for him too. At high school we were put in different classes so it was hard to see her as often. Sadly my depression hit it's high as she went off to university. I haven't really heard from her since.

It was not a romantic love. I never wanted to date her. I loved her as if we shared blood, where I would willingly fight anyone who said a wrongful word against her. God, it's hard to describe just how much I loved Cass. I loved her more than I loved myself. She wasn't always there for me, but I wasn't always there for her either.

I'm just rambling about all this because I had a dream about days gone past and woke up feeling so...forlorn. I know there's facebook and all that, but I doubt it can really recapture how we used to be. And I'd rather leave it as is than feel like it's all been reduced to small updates about our lives on a website.
