The way she wrote out her name was cute. Giratina watched her flip the page, scribbling away. “Giratina.” She replied, still as apathetic as ever about revealing herself and her identity. Her eyes would move from the page, now looking at the other for a moment. There was an odd air about her, unlike anything she’d felt before. Though she eyed Luna for a moment, she chose not to ask nor say anything about it.
Giratina, huh? She could sense the other wasn’t lying. Given the small glimpse of pressure around the two. With that type of honesty, Lunala added the two extra letters into the name. “Lunala,” propping the board against her legs while continuing with the translations. Humming away soon nearing the end. The girl felt pleased, but also confident. This was to be a challenge, but one that Moone was all too willing to go at.

cacophonyofsouls:
The crowds in the mall were already beginning to make her head ache. Unfiltered thoughts and wavelengths from the hundreds of people invaded her mind and senses. Was this really any better than being left at the mercy of the elements?
“No.” Deoxys said flatly after reading the board. “You should know what I am. I know what you are.” The wavelength and energy that pulsated off the girl next to her screamed anything but human, despite her guise. As long as she stayed focused on the other, the crushing pressure in her head would be kept at bay. It was like her energy snuffed out everybody else’s.
Deoxys just hoped she wouldn’t have an “episode” in the middle of the mall.
Talk about kicking that bucket of fun. Lunala gave the other a shrug as to say ‘fair enough.’ The white board was cleared to make space for further conversation. “It’s interesting to see other space dwellers crawling around.” Taking note to not allow human eyes to script it.
It was truly fascinating to have this experience. Meeting this other abnormal being was honestly a treat. Eyes squinting lightly, “Why are you here? I can’t imagine you liking it here. Of all beings, to say.” Talk about rude, though her curiosity was getting the best of her at this rate. Even with a raging storm happening around them. Lunala seemed to give not the slightest concern.

“Alright. Just as you don’t mind me getting frustrated.” Giratina was patient sometimes. Emphasis on sometimes. She was patient with other people, not herself. “Hm… maybe I could help you learn how to speak?” Which sounded a lot more difficult now that she said it aloud. “Your brother, huh… who are you, anyways?”
Moone nodded towards the blonde. A hand casually unzipped her bag to jumble around for a notepad. She soon occupied herself to the empty space in front of the other while sliding a thing notebook out of the bag with obvious signs of usage. Who was she? To be fair, just being called Luna wasn’t too out of the ordinary. Unless she were to throw in the ‘la’ at the end. It may raise some eyebrows. “Luna,” she bubbled out cutely and under it saying “How about you?”. Attention quickly going to her the notebook. Flipping to an empty page. Quickly translating Unown alphabet to a Sinnohan variant since Lunala recognized the spoken language.

@alcmenedis liked for a Deoxys starter!
Storms in Hoenn were always more brutal than in other regions, Deoxys had come to learn. Violent rains accompanied lashing winds. Lightning occasionally streaked across the sky, and Deoxys found herself half expecting Rayquaza to descend at any moment. Not many people were out at the moment, and for good reason. Deoxys’ hoodie kept her relatively sheltered from the storm.
It didn’t take her long to notice somebody else was out here too. The moment the other girl had moved to walk under a tree, a harsh gust of wind uprooted it, sending it plummeting down towards her. Deoxys’ eyes gleamed as the tree suddenly hung suspended in the air, before being tossed to the side with a slight flick of her head.
“We shouldn’t be out here.” Was all she said. “There’s a shopping center near here. Come on.” Deoxys wouldn’t give her time to answer, instead taking her by the wrist and leading her to a sizable building. A crowded mall was probably a bad idea for Deoxys, but that wasn’t on her mind at the moment.
With the sudden twist of wind causing a tree to disconnect from the land, Lunala for sure saw the treetimber down towards the two. Yet an interesting event happened. The other character had an instant reflex, mysteriously snagging the tree with no issues. Interesting, the word chimed in her mind.
The nodded as a response but soon the other took her wrist, leading her over to the jam packed mall. Once the two found their own little spot within the safety, Lunala took her board the make a single question: “Magician?” The moon was ready to play this out.
Sure she knew what was going on. Or the bat liked to believe what was going on. Either a Pokemon with shape-shifting prowess as herself, or just a very lucky human.

Giratina was actually amazed that she knew how to write in Unown. She always thought it had been a dead language. “Are you sure? That’ll probably take a while…” She’d tried to teach herself, but she always got too frustrated to continue. “Uh, not to be rude, but can you not speak? Or do you just not know how to?”
Lunala shook her head then tapped her cheek lightly with the marker again. The eraser end met the board once more to sum up a response. “It’s no problem for me. I don’t mind teaching.” Once the person had computed that snitbit, the moone scribbled it away to come back with another, “A mixture of both.” The process repeats, “My brother taught me how to read and write, then I self taught myself all other languages besides Alolan.”
exspiravited:
“The– The only thing I can really read is Unown. Not many people know it, though.” She’d stammer out. It should be easy for her to read English since Unown letters looked similar, but that was only when the words were capitalized. Violet eyes would soon look back to the other, and then to the leaf pile. “It’s fun,” she’d say, “you get a big enough pile and you jump in it.” Giratina would soon scan the forest floor. “There’s a lot of trees here that have shed a few leaves. Not a ton, but enough to make a decent pile.”
Bingo! No time was wasted in erasing her previous statement, only to follow up with the next bit in Unown text. “That’s alright. I can adjust.” Lunala tapped the marker lightly on her nose before adding on: “If you’d like, I can teach you how to read.” Giving a slight tilt with her head looking oddly curious at the other. This would to be an interesting challenge.

Giratina stares at the board, squinting for several seconds. “What?” She felt the fire of embarrassment creep up on her cheeks as she looked away, hands resting in the pile. “I– I don’t know how to read. Sorry.”
Well isn’t this great, she thought with a sense of defeat. How was she to explain this to someone who couldn’t exactly understand her. Seeing as the blonde already glanced away, Lunala casually clears her throat to nab the the woman’s attention once again. Soon to motion over to the fragile leaf pile that housed very... few. Her posture giving off a, why?
exspiravited:
Giratina is busy gathering what little leaves have fallen into a pile. Thankfully, there’s a lot of trees around her house, so the leaf pile doesn’t look too bad.
Lunala stares with a questionable expression. Taking out her little board to write, “That’s like, 5 leaves.. Isn’t this too early?”

Casually doodling in a sketchbook while occasionally watching pedestrians stroll by. Some to comment on her strange hair color, but Lunala didn’t bother batting an eye at them.
