likely going to be moving this blog to a fresh clean one at some point today (after i eat lunch i imagine).... this is something ive been wanting to do for a while but i finally have the energy to do it so :’)

"Hey!" Xavier chimes as he runs to Yveltal with a large envelope in hand. "Uhm... I guess I'll freely admit it, the gift I got you is really more one that you and deer dad forgot about, but I guess you could say I managed to save these from being lost? Considering it's been a long time since the festival of lights..." He hands him the envelope, containing photos taken of the two from a professional photographer. In particular the best one had been framed, the two had been sitting by the fires comfortably side by side. "The framed one was my idea, I thought it was the best one so... I hope you both like them, I just wanted to say that I appreciate you, and happy father's day."

Yveltal takes the items from Xavier, looking over the pictures with evident fondness in his gaze. He did remember the event, but he hadn't been aware of a photographer that was there. The picture taken was one neither of them seemed to be aware of, the result appearing much more natural. With the professional camera the photographer had as well, the photos all came out beautifully.

"What a thoughtful gift," Yveltal would say, a genuine smile on his face, "thank you Xavier. I know just the place to put the framed photo. I'll be sharing these with Xerneas later as well; I'm certain he'll be just as pleased to see these pictures." Yveltal gives Xavier a quick hug. "I feel very fortunate to have a son as thoughtful as you."

If Rayquaza experiences cold temperatures for a long period of time, he’ll gradually get more sluggish and will refuse to move. If it lasts long enough, he’ll enter brumation until either he warms up more, or the temperature around him warms up. During brumation, he effectively sleeps, only waking every once in a while just to hydrate before going back to sleep. Thankfully, Hoenn is tropical and warm enough most of the year that this isn’t a huge issue. Rayquaza has likely only brumated a couple of times in his life, and honestly hates having to do so. It feels like a waste of time to him.

"Hey, sorry I'm late I ran into some trouble with Zapdos on the way over and you know how that gets..." Raikou sighed in aggravation with his cousin. "But no I didn't forget what day it is, so... here I guess. It reminded me of you." He hands him a box that contains a snowglobe of the Bell Tower, with a decoration of a rainbow above it and the actual flakes being small feathers and autumn leaves instead. Ho-Oh nearly scooped up his son into a tight hug similar to Suicune, until he noticed the box Raikou was holding. He'd take it carefully and remove the snowglobe (leafglobe?) looking at it with pure awe. It was an adorable rendition of his tower, complete with a shimmering rainbow, iridescent feathers, and colorful fall leaves. The man gave it a little shake, watching the leaves and feathers dance elegantly around Bell Tower.

"It's beautiful-" yes, he was getting teary-eyed over it. Ho-Oh carefully set the globe down, lifting Raikou into a big bear hug. "Thank you my son, you're so thoughtful!" After nearly squeezing the life out of the poor electric beast, Ho-Oh set him back onto solid ground. "There's leftover spicy beef ramen in the fridge and mochi ice cream in the freezer if you're interested, so please help yourself!"

"I know you tell me you don't mind whatever it is I get you, but I really try my best to find stuff that I think you'd like for days like today so..." Wally presents a small statuette of Rayquaza's dragon form with a hopeful smile. "They were selling it in the wrong color again, booo on them for that. So I actually repainted it the right colors myself, guess my hobby with doing that comes in handy sometimes. Still if it doesn't look professional then that'd be why, but still... happy father's day dad." - zerogravitywave

Rayquaza takes the statuette carefully in his hands, not wanting to break it somehow or drop it. The paint job is the first thing he notices, golden eyes looking over it incredulously. He was going to have to put this somewhere safe; he'd cherish it forever. Not just because it was a customized statuette of him, but because Wally worked so hard painting it.

"You did this yourself?" He'd ask, admiring the glossy obsidian paint. "It looks perfect, Wally, I'm amazed." Rayquaza added with a proud smile. "Thank you... you're the best son I could ask for." He'd pull the other into a quick embrace.

also the fact that rayquaza has spoken to the adepti in liyue to pass through their sacred lands unhindered means he’s probably met and talked to articuno in this verse. neat!!

“It’s seen as one of the greatest mysterious locations in Teyvat, so I guess you could say it is an interesting place. Full of weird ruins, the remains of the dragon himself, and things frozen in the ice that break out still alive.” He would’ve probably laughed if he was alone, but instead he just gives an amused smirk. “I poke around there all the time, I guess maybe my Cryo makes me more immune to the ice than most. …I’m not actually sure how I’d do in warmer weather, I’ve never been to any place warmer than Mondstadt.”

Remains of a dragon..? That was news to him. A lot had taken place while he hibernated. Part of him worried something terrible befell Dvalin though there was the other dragon, Durin, he had known of. Or maybe it was another dragon that had appeared at some point and died up there. “I wasn’t aware there were dragon remains up there,” he’d comment. “I went to Mondstat in the winter once. Never again.” Rayquaza sighed quietly, rubbing the back of his neck. “I mostly stick to Liyue. The coastal areas are warm, but there’s a nice sea breeze that doesn’t make it overly hot.”

“My little water lily is finally home!” Ho-Oh scoops Suicune up into a hug before she even fully makes it through the door. “I’ve missed you so much!! I hope you’ve been having fun in Unova,” he sets her down, iridescent eyes glancing over her shoulder. “... You didn’t bring them with you?”

“N..No? I- I didn’t really think about it, I... I guess I didn’t want to impose on you any, I... I don’t know.”

“Suicune- honey, they’re family, you nor them would be imposing at all. You can bring them with you any time it works for you all, I promise I won’t be upset, okay? Now lets go in, I know you like to cook for me but I couldn’t help but prep some things in advance-”
