Petley Jones Gallery · Contemporary Group Exhibit ·
October 1- October 15, 2021 With the welcoming of Dominic Besner to the West Coast and to Petley Jones Gallery, we are thrilled to present a group exhibition featuring the works of our current represented artists. This show also features the work of Dana Dion. “Dana Dion’s paintings reflect an intense exploration of the world and her subsequent quest for inner expression of that experience. The bold physicality of her painterly surfaces is balanced with a sense of tender vulnerability and an obvious love for the process of painting. Luscious and evocative, the works explore the vast reaches of a rich inner landscape through a language that she has developed over the years. Dominic Besner, Amelia White, Duncan Regehr, Dana Dion
Thrilled that the auction on my new NFT series, False Creek #1-4, has started on Foundation !! https://foundation.app/@Alcock-White
A behind the scenes look at the art commission process: site visit, measurements, meetings, design considerations, watercolour mock-ups, studio preview and then the final oil painting! It’s a surprisingly rewarding process for everyone; often ending with tears of joy. It pushes me to try new things and switch up my colour palette. It’s an honour to do what I love and collaborate on a custom piece of artwork inspired by the client and their home. 🌅 “Eventide” | 30 x 48 inches, Oil on canvas 2021.
