Back Again!
This post is dedicated at all of the people that have enjoyed, supported, or the greatest, become a fan of the work I have done in music, more immediately the fans of "The Countdown Starts Now". I would like all of you to know now what the members of the band and I's philosophy on what we think about you and why we do this.
To start off I will say that while our ultimate goal is, yes, to build a huge fan base and have our music reach every corner of the world and hopefully, live doing what we love, it's not for the reasons a lot of people assume though. We aren't doing this to fill some hole that was left from some tragic event in our lives, we don't want "fame" with the intention that people will give us free shit and beautiful women will love us just because of who we are on a magazine page. We don't want loads of money thrown at us so we can buy expensive cars, clothing, and other things that people seem to treasure. We do this to make people's lives better, to help people out who are going through a rough time, or people who want to further enjoy the great time they are already having. I hear a lot of "artists" sit there and complain about the industry and all of the hoops we have to jump through to become successful, and these are the people who are COMPLETELY selfish about their art. We find ourselves being criticized at every corner by elitists who basically claim that you can do something for no purpose at all and implying that because we actually care about how our music affects people and care about the people it affects, our art is now a lesser art or is tainted by selflessness...It's bullshit, everything is done for a purpose even if it's to prove you can do something without a purpose. Our purpose is to make this world a better place through music and ultimately, all of you who support us. Does this mean our music lacks self expression? No. We write these songs from the bottoms of our souls from experiences we have all had in our lives. The way we go about it is what makes us different. We choose to actually let our fans enjoy what we do as much as we do. We purposely hold nothing back for all of you because the squandering of artistic vision is contradictory to art with a purpose. The true reason we aspire to grow is so we can affect as many people as possible with our music. Every member of this band will tell you that as long as we could survive and support ourselves (and whatever families we choose to have) we could do this forever without all the fickle things people care about in this world. If we could do all of this without money we would even be giving our music away for free, unfortunately, if we didn't have money to put back into recording and all the other costs of actually making the music, we wouldn't ever be able to accomplish the goals we want to. We truly care about the well being of our fans, you gals and guys are the biggest thing that allows all successful musicians to exist in the first place and for that we all give you the most sincere "Thank You" we can muster in our being. We love you all and hope our music continues to make things a little bit easier in this life.
