alecgaskarth: brayleigh is doing so good we got to hold her today. she's officially four pounds now, girl is growing good.

“I guess we live here for at least the next few days.”

“I guess we do, my love.”

“I wasn’t even worried.” Rian said jokingly

“Oh right, right.” Alec said shaking his head

“And thank you boys for keeping us sane.”

“It’s what we’re here for, Ri.” Aiden said with a smile “I’m just glad they think she’s going to be okay.” Alec said

rian-not-ryan​:

“It is but I don’t wanna let my guard down yet.”

“I understand that, I don’t want to either, I don’t wanna get my hopes up too much.”

rian-not-ryan​:

“Yeah we really appreciate it.”

Alec looked at his husband “Well this is good news so far.”

rian-not-ryan​:

“I think I’m out of questions.”

“I think I am too, thank you for all you did for us.” the man said “It’s no problem, she was a wonderful patient and I have a good feeling she’s going to be strong.”

rian-not-ryan​:

“Do you foresee any problems for her later in life?”

“No, I don’t see that happening, the aorta has been repaired now and shouldn’t give her any problems.” the doctor said as Alec looked at Rian

rian-not-ryan​:

“So is she out of the woods completely?”

“We do want to watch her for three days just to be sure everything looks good but so far everything is going very well, she’s asleep right now.”

rian-not-ryan​:

He continued walking for a bit in silence. “We probably should head back; hopefully, they’ll be out soon.”

As Alec walked back into the room the doctor was standing there “Surgery is finished and everything went very well, she’s a very strong girl.”

rian-not-ryan​:

“I just hate that even when she’s out it’s still not guaranteed she’ll be okay right away.”

Alec nodded “I do too, I guess we just take it day by day, we hope for the best.”

rian-not-ryan​:

“Why do bad things happen to good people?”

“A test of strength I think, babe.”

[alecgaskarth]

rian-not-ryan​:

He smiled walking out. “I really just wanted some air.”

“I understand that, me too.”

rian-not-ryan​:

“Would you?”

Alec nodded standing up “Lets go find a snack.” he said putting his hand on his husbands back

“I think I may take a walk. Does anyone need anything?”

“Do you want me to come with you?”

“She would have fell for it.”

“She totally would’ve and it would’ve been hilarious.”
