nessie hadn’t expected anyone to recognise her. she blended in with the humans, she wasn’t drawing attention to herself … for a moment, hearing her own name, she was relieved – finally someone had found her! but then she turned and saw a familiar face. one she had not seen in years. but of course she would never forget the face of a volturi member. for the first time since she arrived, she felt fear.

“alec? i thought you were in … volterra.” she paused to fix a beguiling smile to her face. “what brings the volturi to new york?” hopefully they were not here for her, while she was vulnerable & alone.

“I’m afraid i’m on my own.. and i’m no threat to you.” He sighs, sitting himself down beside her without sudden movement, hoping not to scare her.  “You smell so interesting.. i almost forgot about how intriguing you are.” He glanced over at her. “I’m not entirely sure how I got here if i’m honest.. but i don’t dislike it here.” He tapped his fingers against his bench. “Are you here for a particular reason?”

Remus nodded slowly. “I’m beginning to realise that people from different worlds and times is pretty normal around here. You’re really nothing like what we learn vampires are like. You got the pale thing though.” He offered a small smile before sighing. “Okay… thank you.”

The boy chuckles, nodding. “My eyes are usually red.. but i’m quite hungry..” Hence his now pitch black eyes. “Do you need me to get you anything? I can be gone and back again in a few seconds.” He shrugs, feeling somewhat... protective of the boy.. as if he saw himself when he was.. at least four hundred years younger.

“You’re not the type of werewolf that i’m used to. You smell a whole lot different. But still.. not human. So I guess you’re from some other world.” He shrugs, his curiosity once again allowing him to piece parts of this puzzle together. “I’ll be fine. I’ve had four hundred and sixty four years to learn to control myself.” But it’ll never be enough.

what is one trait you have that you're not proud of?

“I’m very dependent on people.. particularly my sister.. After all these years.. loosing her would still destroy me.. I hate that I let her control me because i’m afraid that i’ll lose her.  I wish I wasn’t so dependent.”
