no actually i hate it when people act like jackieshauna's disastrous communication issues were entirely on shauna. "if shauna had just told jackie she would've understood" jackie would've gone back for shauna :(" no she wouldn't ????
did we all not see the scene where jackie gets pissed at shauna for going against her wishes in a vote? jackie was also in love with shauna, except her way of showing it was wanting to do everything with her and assuming that obviously, shauna wanted to do everything with her too. no, this is not normal best friend behavior.
obviously then, it makes sense for shauna to just go along with everything jackie wanted to do, because if she didn't, jackie would feel hurt or angry, and shauna didn't want that because newsflash, she was also in love with jackie.
jackie controlled aspects of shauna's life as an attempt of showing her love/helping her out (helping her choose her outfits, trying to set her up with guys, we learn from ms. taylor that jackie was "always so worried that shauna would never find anyone", we learn from ghost!jackie in s2ep1 that jackie helped shauna with makeup and "made her into someone else"), but shauna saw it on a negative light, as jackie trying to control her.
so, no, it was not as simple as ""i don't like it when you call me shipman" "oh okay!! i'll stop"" like what? they could notttt be solved that easily 😭
not to mention, jackie could never say something nice about shauna without saying something bad first, or just making insensitive jokes at times.
("cheering people up is your thing! i'm better at..." "making people feel judged? ooh, cutting up dead things!" "...")
yeah, this was maybe her way of opening up to vulnerability. maybe not the best way to do it to your already insecure friend, but whatever; jackie was also a teenage girl that did mistakes.
onto the other thing. jackie would not have gotten shauna into the cabin. the tragic thing about jackie's death is that it snowed randomly. nobody knew.
taissa would've gotten shauna back inside. and then, maybe lottie. actually, maybe shauna would've never gotten out in the first place, since the girls would've protested and wouldn't have silenced coach ben when he said no one was sleeping outside.
jackie would've felt bad, sure, but she knew she was in the right and would've never gone out there and saved shauna, because newsflash: she was petty as fuck. (which she has every right to be btw.)
to wrap it up they were just very codependent and toxic and to blame it all on shauna because she's horrible evil bitch wolf predator bad friend and killed jackie who is a soft sweet pure innocent rabbit heart prey pookie sweet babygirl the best friend ever in the world... don't pmo now ur just reducing their characters to the very basics
