I asked Dany @danndrea if I could share this here and she said yes (since she’s no longer on Tumblr). She did it for her epilogue in her story "THE MOST PRECIOUS TREASURE." A story where Dustin, Will, Lucas, and Mike have a band and are really famous. They’re called the "dungeons brothers."

These are ideas for a fic for my bestie's birthday! But I'm still figuring out the plot.

The two of them in the near future. A rough sketch.

Okay I know for a fact this wasn't intentional but I have thoughts about how when Jonathan and Steve were arguing about Nancy and their relationship problems, Steve is saying how they're both miserable since the year before, how Jonathan should focus on Nancy instead of himself because he's been acting like a paranoid weirdo, and then they could finally be happy.
And then Dustin shows up immediately after Steve says so, and suddenly the conversation becomes about them, Steve and Dustin, and their relationship, but Steve is blind to the fact he's doing effectively the same thing as Jonathan.
Steve, who has felt weird since last year, who is lashing out because he feels like he's losing Dustin, because he missed the Dustin before Eddie died. He didn't know how to deal with that, how to process it, or how to meet Dustin where he was because it wasn't something Steve could just physically protect him from.
Steve, who finally eventually realizes, at the same time Jonathan and Nancy are breaking up, that he needs to focus on this Dustin. That maybe Dustin was wrong, but so was he. They hug, again, nearly paralleling Nancy and Jonathan's embrace - except Steve and Dustin actually do get their ending together. Steve took his own advice.

I’ve started planning what I want to write for Dany’s birthday. And I should start writing soon if I want to have it finished so I can post it without any pressure. Something funny is that we’re both Libras and our birthdays are just 5 days apart haha.
So, year 2026. Many universes collide and we have a pretty crazy reunion:
Dustin and Steve. (Maybe the first few months after defeating Vecna).
Sherlock and Molly. (Right after the final problem, starting their relationship).
Arya and Gendry (after Arya returns to Westeros).
Colin and Penelope (in their newlywed regency mode from s4).
I was also thinking about a survival fic with all of them and holy crap hahaha Arya and Gendry would take them all by a looooot if it's purely physical. If it's intellectual, Dustin, Sherlock, and Penelope are the smartest.
But it would be a lot of watching all the couples fight hahaha. Wait, that sounds fun.
