Drink Beer for Big Ideas, Coffee to Get Them Done

I didn’t know what I was going to write about today. When this happens, normally I grab a coffee to help get the ideas flowing, but for the last few days in Montreal, no one’s been allowed to drink the water due to a bacteria leakage. This also means: no coffee. So instead, I grabbed the next best thing to help me get going: a beer.

Business Casual pool party and Bad Kids Collective

I love being an event services professional. I wonder if its anything like being a chef. Sometime an event is like serving delicious West Coast Oysters. Such was the case with planning the Bad Kids Collective dinner & party (you can read the event recap in their own words here DINNER AND PARTY ). Andi Cross - the lad Bad Kids girl, knew exactly what she wanted I just had to make it happen. She sold out 70 table reservations and a handful of standing tickets. The show was a colorful blast. 

And sometimes its like starting with serving a crispy pork belly going in to waffle crusted fried chicken finishing with  such was the case with putting together the Business Casual pool party . Since it was a personal event all elements had to be filled by appropriate people. Columbia Wrestling team annual banquet and Ozzy Ozbourne

Rock and Roll always soothed my ear in times of high pressure. I remember being on the swim team doing laps at 8am on Saturday mornings while blasting some heavy rock to push us along. This past Monday I got to see Black Sabbath and it was glorious. Hats off Ozzy!

Last year I spoke to a number of wresters from the Columbia School and they have a similar ear. Rock on guys! This year marks the forth year I have planned the annual Columbia School Wrestling Team Banquet, and its always a glorious meaty event. 

This year the team chose to do it on the Rooftop of Hotel Chantelle (second year at this location). The food selections mostly skew towards heavier meatier choices from the catering menu. Imagine 100 wrestlers in a room... I don't expect any leftovers. I wonder if they will play "We are the champions" by Queen in the end of their yearly montage.
