look I'm just a casual enjoyer of Sonic, ok? There's a lot of lore I don't know and I don't know the standard for Sonic universe villain origin stories

that being said, I just finished replaying Sonic Forces for the fifth time, including the Episode Shadow DLC, and I just find it SO hilarious that all we see of Infinite's villain origin story is "Shadow kicked my ass and called me ugly so now I'm emo and work for Eggman and have the Tangible Hallucination Rock embedded in my chest and I'm gonna kill everyone with the fucking sun"
