Mythology

Theres something to be said about the fact that there are so few stories in western media that exclude non-western religion and mythology. Many times the folklore being as interesting— if not more so— than Greek and Roman. For example: The Yoruba religion is one that is still practiced to this day and has a host of Gods and Goddesses that both mirror and are unique from other polytheistic religions for around the world.

So when you're writing I hope you take the time to really look into what other religions that are non western have to offer and see what wisdom they hold~!
