If Brian Wilson says this is the greatest pop record ever made, then it probably is. I agree with him completely. But the song wouldn’t be nearly as timeless and achingly beautiful if it wasn’t for one of the most amazing voices you can hope to hear bringing it to life. Ronnie Spector was just that, a once in a lifetime vocalist, and so much more than that: she had to endure a lot, but never lost her passion for singing and making music. What a sad day this is.
