I saw people were telling you about their Lin dreams. I once had a dream where my friends and I saw Lin in a candy shop so we ran across an intersection to meet him and he yelled at us and told us we could never see Hamilton bc we ran through traffic.

YO ON THE SUBJECT OF LIN DREAMS, this isnt like ... completely a dream but i feel like it counts but i used to have v vivid hallucinations of lin running into my room and lighting my fire place and leaving, first two times it scared the shit out of me bc ???why is he here, but the times that followed i realized it wasnt real omfg

Why don't people talk about Dolly Madison more?

this woman was

raised a Quaker and refrained from marrying so she could get out until her father died and wished her to get married so she did.

Spoiler alert, she was able to get out of the Quaker community anyway by getting married.

lost her husband and baby to yellow fever and instead of getting depressed and dying, like most women of the time, she fought of Yellow Fever herself.

When she remarried to James Madison, President Jefferson was so impressed by her she basically became acting First Lady before Madison ever became president.

The first First Lady to realize the Capitol needed to be furnished by the government because “it belongs to the people”, and came up with the idea of adding mirrors to each room to make them look larger and bring more light in.

When the British attacked and Madison had to leave her at the capitol to attend to the military she assured him she wasn’t afraid.

When the English attacked the Capitol she calmly gathered Madison’s papers and saved the painting of Washington from fire. 

After Madison died the nearly despaired from poverty but stood her ground until Congress finally bought the copies of the Constitutional Convention.

Was not only present when Samuel F.B. Morse sent the first telegram but was freaking asked what the return message should be.
