Itâs okay to prompt another chapter for an existing fic, even the oneshots. There is a chance i wonât be able to or want to fill it, but iâm always willing to consider. Just be polite.
I write a lot of dark stuff, so feel free to specify if you want to avoid something or want something specific.
Whether or not you want the prompt to be nsfw/sfw must be specified. You can just add either sfw, nsfw or nsfw/sfw which will mean either is fine.
If youâre a minor you are only allowed to prompt sfw and if I find out otherwise youâll be blocked.
I really do enjoy just the fun of building a fic from a single word, but Iâm also happy to try and tackle any longer and more complex prompts.Â
If your prompt isnât filled the week itâs sent it, Iâm still going to fill it and you are allowed to still send other prompts.
If I canât/wont fill a prompt, Iâll post it and explain and say itâs okay to send another.

I an very slowly posting all my fics to ao3. Posting takes a lot of spoons and I generally end up adding more to the fics when I post them so it takes a bit. Plus all the notes I end up adding because there is always room for more notes⊠even when I run out of room.
I write Malec because itâs a i love it. Itâs also a hyper-fixation that has only grown since it developed in 2016 (the Malec episode wedding scene caught me on tumblr and I was hooked). I write for fun. For the thrill of the ship and because Iâm very particular and I write the fics I want to exist. Itâs also for mental health reasons because writing Malec seriously helps decrease my stress and anxiety. I really just love writing and I love Malec.
I donât expect or require comments or likes or reblogs. At the same time I love interacting over Malec and my fics and I both enjoy and appreciate comments. So theyâre more than welcome but please donât feel pressured.

I've been a fanfic writer on AO3 for two years, have 50+ stories and over 350k in words, lots of fun reader engagement and stay active on Tumblr to promote my stories and fan creations.
Last night I got an angry message on my Tumblr from a user asking why I was flaming their story on AO3.
I never leave negative comments (and I've left over 500 positive ones!). I looked into it, and the hatebots on AO3 used my username with (Guest) at the end to send one of the most vile messages I've ever read to a user in a completely different fandom from me.
I straightened it out with that user and explained about the hatebots. But their initial message to me was angry, they'd found me off AO3 on Tumblr and called out personal details from my page because they thought I was bullying them.
I still can't really fathom why these hatebots do what they do, but I'm also a little scared that a misunderstanding like that could lead to someone getting doxxed. And I'm also extremely sad that this bot is posing as me and threatening other users. I encouraged the one reaching out to me to report and block and made a note on my page explaining that (Guest) comments are not from me in case anyone else had that experience.
I still love AO3 for the ability to write and share and connect over our stories and fandoms, but this is really discouraging and scary, in addition to the almost daily art bot scams I get on AO3 too.
And my heart breaks for the user who thought even for a moment that a complete stranger would say such awful things to them using my name.
And it's devastating to think of so many writers waiting for feedback on a story they worked so hard on who are getting hateful comments like these. Or to think someone could internalize those hateful comments without knowing it's a bot.
My heart breaks especially for newer writers on AO3, it's definitely a different landscape from when I joined two years ago.
As a kid who grew up watching Terminator - I'm not sure I envisioned the robot wars looking quite like this!!

They want to control our elections.
I am dead serious people call your representatives. Get volunteering. Get protesting. Get LOUD.
They released a letter full of straight up lies. Spread the truth. MAKE NOISE.
German here. This is, essentially, what happened in 1939. The Nazis got the majority in parlament through democratic process and then applied terror until the rights of the people to vote them out again were taken away. I should add that they did, among other things, send out their paramilitary to provoke fights and also took advantage of the Reichstagsbrand. (It should be noted that IÂŽm currently unclear on whether or not the Nazis caused that fire and blamed someone else, or if they indeed only took advantage.) Back then, the enemy was the communists and jewish people. The SA was on the street, terrorizing people. Abducting people. Taking people around the back of a house to be shot. Until they got what they wanted: absolute power.
ThatÂŽs what this is. Trump tried it the soft way in his first term, and the people voted him out of office. This time, his cabinet isnÂŽt fucking about. (IÂŽm saying his cabinet because I shit you not, I highly doubt Trump could find his own ass pockets at this point.) This is, essentially, a terror campain. They hope youÂŽll grow tired of caring. They hope that if they disappear enough people, youÂŽll grow too scared to fight. They hope to find the right enemy to present to you as the cause of all your problems. They hope that they can somehow prevent the midterms from going to the democrats.
HereÂŽs the important bit: Do. Not. Stop.
ItÂŽs tiring. ItÂŽs scary. Giving in will feel easier at some point. Your brain is wired to keep you alive, and going out every day to fight the Gestapo isnÂŽt very in line with that goal. But it must be done. YouÂŽre scaring them. The fact that people of so many different backgrounds are deciding they hate ICE more than they hate each other is killing their entire spiel.
They have, ironically, succeeded splendidly in giving the nation a common enemy to unite against. Unfortunately for them, the enemy is their off-brand Gestapo and the pumpkin in chief.

there is something really nasty the body does that I have to tell you about. sleep deprivation causes the body to feel stronger signals. it can make light and sound and pain worse, just from not sleeping. and then, get this - - that can be the kind of shit that keeps someone up at night. less sleep makes more pain happen, more pain can make less sleep happen, and this feedback loop keeps spinning. and then that feedback loop fucks with your body and can make you have worse illnesses, worse infections, worse physical health, worse mental health, and feel like shit overall. and then THAT can make it even harder to sleep.
quality of sleep is quality of life. no matter what else you have going on, you have to prioritize sleep. if your sleep is not restful, you might have something like sleep apnea that can make you weaker until you get treated. whatever is stopping you from sleeping needs to be a priority because it will wreck you until you can sleep. your body cannot function properly without enough sleep, and it might not even tell you that sleep is the problen.
your body might just tell you that everything sucks forever until you can figure it out and get it addressed. there are ways to break the pain and sleep deprivation feedback loop, like medication. and if sleep still sucks, really consider getting a sleep study. even if it is a pain in the ass, your health might depend on it.
no matter what else you try, no matter how else you try to prioritize your health, and no matter how you have to accomplish this, you might not be able to feel better until you can actually get enough quality sleep.

This is the economy of political pressure. Individualized contact influences 94% of congressional offices on undecided issues. Mass email campaigns? 18%. Petitions? Worthless.
But here's the secret that changes everything: State officials are sitting ducks.
State Comptrollers generally receive 5-10 constituent calls per month. State Treasurers? Many have never experienced a coordinated campaign. District Attorneys? Only hear from victims and lawyers, not voters. State Legislators? They average 20-30 contacts per week.
The magic happens at these thresholds:
10 calls in an hour = staff notices.
50 calls in a day = emergency meeting.

Constituent contact increases legislator support probability by 12-20%. The Net Neutrality campaign's 1.3 million calls changed federal policy. The ACA defense campaign's 6,000 calls prevented repeal. At the state level, you need 100x fewer calls for the same impact.

we can win this fight, but we need to fight. I know on a personal level how hard it can be to make calls, especially to politicians, but we've reached a point that if we don't, the slippery slope into the chasm of tyranny becomes a cliff

Magnus is tempted to tell Alec that the fork is a dinglehopper (he watched the animated movie to see if it was realistic â it wasnât â but he trolls Ragnor with it sometimes).

Love the way you write Alec in the arranged marriage verse. He's such a pouty little darlin' whose life goals now seems to be seducing his husband into staying in bed and being handfed.

He is. He 100% is and Magnus loves it and I love writing it lol. So the best part about this verse is Magnus got Alec before any trauma/betrayal happens like it does in a lot of my fics and canon. Alec originally considered the marriage his last mission for the Clave but there was no personal betrayal by family or subordinates or the clave etc.
And it still ended up as his last mission for the clave but not because he kills himself but because he decides âoh hey, so my ties to the clave are severed. I have new allegiances now. Iâm a man of my word and I made wedding vows.â
Yes all the Shadowhunters technically have their legal and political and magical ties to the Clave severed and become just nephilim (inactive/retired/civillian nephil) bound to their spouses but 1) they are still tied and bound to Raziel 2) they are still loyal to the Clave and consider it a personal, almost radical mission. 3) even the ones who wonât kill themselves arenât planning on helping smooth things over and be real spouses.
So Alec is an outlier. He also switched loyalties from âgroup who forcibly almost married me to a womanâ to âthe man I marriedâ with inhuman glee.
Alec is radical and he goes from being loyal to the Clave to fanatically devoted to and loyal only to Magnus. His switches are flipped when he meets and commits himself to Magnus and it goes from âIâm saying these words for my missionâ to âI mean every word with every particle that makes meâ.
But without the trauma. Or even a lot of the drama. Alec is Magnus, whether anyone likes it or not and Alec has no duties anymore besides being a good husband. There is no guilt or shame or internal fight over duty and responsibility because the only responsibility and duty Alec has is for his husband.
Alec is living his best life.
He is thriving.
And Magnus seems to enjoy Alec being clingy? Alec isnât going to hold back. Magnus seems to falter when Alec pouts at him? Alec has no shame. He is rarely not sulking about Magnusâ attention going somewhere else.
Magnus is also thriving. It takes a few weeks and heâs still suspicious but heâs at the point where he now is just âim going to enjoy this and when betrayal comes Iâm just going to snip it and continue on as we areâ.
He just had to spend like 3 weeks with Alec with Alec in honeymoon mood while Magnus slowly went from âIâve invited an enemy into my abode and lairâ to âoh no heâs hot and dangerousâ to âheâs my husband and Iâm keeping him no matter what and if he betrays me Iâll just train him out of thatâ
Magnus made mistakes because Alec learns the joys of sleeping in, warm sunbeams, morning cuddles, morning sex, afternoon snuggles, etc. Alec will be using this knowledge against Magnus.
Alec also is a very ambitious and dedicated person. He has no where but his role as husband to push that energy towards. He also wouldnât want it any other way and is enjoying learning how to cook, figuring out how to embroider Magnusâ clothes to be more impervious to nephil attacks and danger etc.
Alec basically has no idea what a good marriage involves but heâs happy to jump on all of his options and opportunities. He also doesnât back down. If Magnus options a door/option/introduces a new choices then Alec barrels down the hall or jumps on it. Because that is a new was to husband and he loves it.
Magnus: we should wear matching outfits⊠hmm maybe thatâs too much
Alec: no, wait no you already offered it you canât take that back. We have to march always now.
Alec is also an idiot searches and researching ways to be more of a spouse and a better husband and he takes his new identity as Magnusâ husband very seriously. Heâs finding himself in the ways he can enjoy and learn and be with Magnus and discovering things about himself as well.
Most of it ties and leads back to Magnus. Itâs a very extreme and codependent relationship and neither of them would change it except to make it more intense and codependent.
Magnus has a slightly different history and is more confident in this verse (regarding emotions) but Magnus still has some insecurity in regard to being adored for everything and not âtoo muchâ. Which in this verse if he was âtoo muchâ for someone he normally just dealt with that person or forgot about them, but there is still that memory of being âtoo muchâ. And Alec kind of plows through it, burns it, stomps it to the ground, takes all of Magnus and instead of saying itâs too much, he asks for more.
So yeah⊠Magnus is becoming more and more happy and indulgent because heâs also being indulged and worshipped and itâs doing very good things for his self-esteem.
This also means theyâre both becoming more dangerous and more volatile and more lethal in regards to each other.
Btw Magnus thinks Alec was joking but Alec was already mentally going through which knife he should summon to ensure more cuddles.
Alec rarely jokes about violence. Itâs always a promise.
Alec would do a great many sins for more cuddles or sex with Magnus and heâs not ashamed of it either.
Alec would sit in Magnusâ lap and be handfed for the rest of their lives with ease. Especially if he got to feed Magnus back and just enjoy being held and kissing Magnus when he isnât expecting it and he likes being able to kiss Magnusâ fingertips and taste Magnus magic. Itâs a very intimate and hedonistic experience that Alecâs never even dreamed of and now canât live without.
Magnus also has never been desired or wanted with the desperation and sincerity that Alec has for him and letâs just say Magnusâ magic and body and emotions are the most in tune theyâve ever been.
Alec will rarely engage in violence unless itâs on behalf or for his husband btw. Not because he is opposed but because his life and energy are reserved and preserved for Magnus and he wonât waste his time and energy on things that donât benefit Magnus.
Alec has less of a good understanding of being a husband and more has an understanding of what he wants to do and be as someone tied to Magnus and also what he doesnât want to do or be (from his observations of his parents and most nephilim couples).

so this is before the party magnus takes alec to. a private excursion. a test run in a controlled and safe environment if you will.
so just an interjection about my writing schedule. it is currently at the whims of my anxiety which is progressively getting worse (because of RL state of events, family health problems and Nightshade's struggling health, unmedicated etc). i am hoping to take the anxiety and fear I feel and turn it into writing (which i did with this post because i genuinely needed something that didn't involve reality after my appointment and then Nightshade's vet appointment). but yeah. i can't make any promises on a posting schedule or how much i'll get to just because i am overwhelmed with life. but i am still going to try. because this helps me and i know it can help others and it's one of the only things that brings me joy and i think sharing joy is especially important in these times.

the bitter trap of truth
Alec has found out that he enjoys when his afternoons are full of languid sun the best. There are days â rare though they are â that Magnus rises bright and early and Alec finds that the worst part of gaining at least a little of Magnusâ trust is the fact that Alec is now left in bed.
Alone.
Without Magnus.
Alec would be half tempted to do something to incur Magnusâ continued presence and scrutiny if he werenât so invested in earning Magnusâ trust.
Yet itâs mornings like these that have the thought lingering in his mind as he wallows in bed.
Alone.
Heâs about half a second from burrowing into Magnusâ pillows to see if he can catch any lingering warmth or scent when Magnus glides into the room. Alecâs eyes squint as he tries to figure out if Magnus is actually bothering to walk on the floor or if he is somehow actually walking on air. That thought disappears when he realizes Magnus isnât wearing a shirt, which means his day is better already.
True, Magnus doesnât wear a shirt at least half of the time heâs with Alec but still.
Itâs something that should always be appreciated.
Even if Alec has a feeling this is not going to end with him luring Magnus back to bed.
âOh, a pity youâre awake.â Magnus sounds so disappointed that Alecâs heart stutters before his husband continues. âI was considering kissing you awake.â
Alec has a split second of relief and then a moment where he mourns that he canât command himself back to sleep. Then his sleep-hazed vision clears and he sees that not only is Magnus wearing a long, glimmering necklace, heâs also close enough to touch.
Close enough for Alec to strike.
There is a surprised noise and a flare of magic that does nothing but ruffle over him like a warm breeze and then Alec is pulling Magnus down into a sleepy kiss by his â thankfully â very structurally sound necklace.Â
The last time Alec tried this during sex the necklace snapped and while he managed to fix it, heâs pleased Magnus took his complaints seriously and reinforced the rest of his jewelry to handle shadowhunter strength.
The request had left Magnus a bit startled, but Alec doesnât think his husband actually minded.Â

Magnus canât help the laughter that spills from him at Alexanderâs sulking look when Magnus pulls away from the delicious kiss Alexander had dragged him into. There is something endearing about the petulant way his boy tugs at the necklace with a morose sigh before letting go.
âIf I severed the tendons in my ankles then you couldnât make me leave the bed.â Alexander mutters and Magnus rolls his eyes as the empty threat even as he pulls a perfectly willing yet still complaining Alexander from the bed and into the closet.
âIf you sever your tendons then Iâll have to heal them and I will be very annoyed that my husband has been damaged, Alexander.â
Thereâs silence from his boy for a long moment before Alexander sighs, as if giving up the thought. Magnus is begrudgingly amused by the dark humor of his darling nephilim. Alexander never jokes about his life â Magnus would teach him the error of his ways should he ever â but he does have a fondness for promising abstract violence. To himself or others, depending on what Alexander wants out of his rather bloody solutions.
âIt would be a temporary maiming.â Alexander mutters even as he strips and steps into the clothing Magnus has carefully picked out. âIâd heal within half a day, but it would be half a day we could spend in bed.â
âDonât we spend enough time in bed for you to be happy?â Magnus asks as he considers which of the two jackets he wants to wear. They both match Alexanderâs outfit but they have different cuts and fabrics and his shoe options change depending on what he picks.
âWe could spend all of our time there and I could be even happier.â
Magnus laughs, he canât help it and when he finally looks at Alexander itâs to see him smiling in return. Grinning and with a delighted gleam in his eyes as he watches Magnus hungrily.
âDonât you think there are better ways I could have you writhing in my arms than the pain of a wound youâve caused yourself?â Magnus bats Alexanderâs hands away from the buttons of his husbandâs shirt, taking the time to instead carefully do each button with exaggerated slowness that has Alexanderâs eyes wide and dark with want.
âDo you want to prove it to me?â Alexanderâs voice is hoarse with desire and Magnus is quite frankly astonished at his own strength of will. Because somehow he manages to deny them both and does not buckle and push Alexander down on the plush rug decadent beneath their soles.
âI do and I will, but later.â Magnus pats Alexander on the chest, right over the heart that beats for Magnusâ pleasure, assured of its longevity and health by Magnusâ own blood seeping in and infecting Alexanderâs veins with command and life. âThink of it as a necessary evil, sweetheart.â
âI will agree that itâs evil, not that itâs necessary.â Alexanderâs tone turns wry even as he obediently pulls on the jacket that matches Magnusâ own with a deep blue satin that Alexander wrinkles his nose at. Itâs the fabric not the color that Alexanderâs is cautious about and itâs only after Magnus has smoothed down the fabric over Alexanderâs shoulders and straightened his boyâs collar that Alexanderâs relaxes. It must be more than a little strange to go from leather and battle gear to cashmere or velvets and satins and silks with lace but Magnus isnât one to shy away from what he wants and Alexander doesnât seem to care enough to protest.Â
Magnus canât call any of Alexanderâs complaints a true protest when Alexander seems to mostly voice his issues as just another reason to get Magnusâ hands or magic on him. Not that Magnus needs a reason, but he is helplessly charmed at how Alexander seems to think the few times Magnusâ isnât touching him are an affront.Â

Alec dislikes the jacket immensely. Itâs just thick enough that it means if Magnus does try to guide him around with a hand on the small of his back â like he often does at home â then Alec will have a harder time feeling the warmth and strength of Magnusâ hand. Or the magic that Magnus often unconsciously strokes down Alecâs spine. The idea that might be lost â taken from him by an unnecessary layer of fabric that has no business keeping Magnus touch from him â has Alec hiding a melancholy sigh even as he tilts his chin up for Magnus.
Thereâs a pause, a moment where Magnus simply blinks at him and Alec lowers his head to blink steadily back, wondering if heâs supposed to understand what the fluttering of Magnusâ lashes means besides gorgeous.
âMagnus, am I putting it on myself or are you putting it on me?â
âDo you require a scarf?â
Alec is quite frankly one step from pulling on his own hair just to get a semblance of peace and he sighs, stepping forward and knocking against Magnus â not out of spite but to steal another touch â to smack his palm against the drawer he knows holds the multitude of collars Magnus gleefully had him try on several nights before.
âYou took it off before bed for the bath we had. So, I assumed you had one specific for this outing, or am I supposed to pick myself?â Alec hopes the tone of his voice conveys how much he does not enjoy that aspect. The idea of picking himself when it should be Magnusâ hand and touch and personal taste that chose the claim over Alecâs neck.
Magnus makes a startled, abrupt sound that is quickly swallowed down and by the time Alec looks over his shoulder at Magnus, there is no surprise on his face. No curiosity in his golden eyes. Only a dark, visceral desire. The same kind that promises violence to anything that dares interrupt Magnusâ attention from Alec.
Itâs a look that Alec prefers, if only because it assures him that Magnus does consider Alec his, even if it was politics that brought them together.
