“Okay awesome we’ll go bowling then” he grinned. “Oh okay, that’s a little surprising. That you’ve only dated two people I mean. And as long as you’re happy with him what should it really matter how old he is”

“I don’t know- I’ve only had sex with three people, and one of those was a mistake. I’m just... not the kind of guy who puts myself out there, I guess,” Alex hummed, shrugging his shoulders briefly. “Yeah, I am.”

“You really think so, man?” He asked thoughtfully. “Does he- did he ever- say something to you about it? I’ll… I’ll do it man. We do it together.”

“Yes, I think so,” Alex nodded his head, trying not to laugh too hard. “You’re acting like a teenage girl, Ash, but he talks about you a lot, so yes. He does say stuff.”

“Fine… I uh how about we go bowling?” he suggested with a small smile. “Boyfriend huh? Damn, can’t say I’m surprised a hottie like you is already taken”

“Bowling- okay, yeah, I can do that,” Alex grinned easily. “Yeah, uh- I don’t know about that. I’ve dated a grand total of two people. One girl when I was in high school, and now my boyfriend is like twenty seven, so...”

“Responsible but not alone,” She repeated. She ran her fingers through her blondish hair. “I just want to be able to do this without needing help from everyone.”

“And that’s when you’ll make mistakes,” Alex said simply. “You can’t do it on your own. No one can. So don’t try- just take help when it’s offered, when you need it, and everything will be okay. I promise.”

“Attracted or not, I’m sure you can at least appreciate me aesthetically,” Tristan replied, preening himself jokingly, hands flicking through his hair. “And I look stupid in nothing, so good luck with that.”

“Eh- not my type,” Alex said simply, snorting as he shook his head. “Oh, I’m sure you look stupid in a lot of things, smart one. It’s just that no one has the guts to say it.”

“Surprises are what I do best.” He nodded and smiled as he wrapped his arm around Alex’s shoulder. “I a having a problem. I’m hungry but also horny, and feeling rather needy as of this past week. What should I do first? Eat? Or you?”

“Mmm,” Alex let out a small hum as he turned his head to look up at Roland slightly, smiling to himself. “It’s been a long week... So I vote me,” he offered, leaning up to press his lips to his boyfriend’s slowly. “You know I love it when you’re needy... And it’s been to long since I’ve had you. I need more.”

“I know I have some really great friends who are willing to help me with everything, including you. But at the end of the day, the baby is going to be my responsibility. I’m responsible for another human being an that is so scary.” She mentioned, “That would be great. Really. Thank you.”

“Ava- literally every young first time parent gets help from other people. I know of some who literally had their mothers come live with them for the first few months as they got a handle on things. You’re responsible, but you’re not alone,” Alex said firmly. “Consider it done then.”

“It’s okay, man. I don’t mind. No one can pull off a bridesmaids dress better than I do. I’m sure I’d still look better than half of the people in New York.” He laughed. “I don’t blame you, man. That is the worst feeling. The fear of scaring someone away. People hold back their feelings just because of that shit. Why can’t we be direct, man. I don’t get it.” He shook his head. “Do you really think so?” Ash asked. Maybe that was indeed what he should do. “I don’t know, man. He means so much to me. I don’t wanna lose him, but… I think I’ll listen to you, man. Thanks, man. Same applies to you with Roland.”

“Oh, I’m sure- and I’m sure Roman would agree,” Alex teased lightly, wiggling his eyebrows at the other male playfully. “Of course I think so. He cares about you, obviously. He might not realize it, but he does. So I think you need to just take the plunge. You take the plunge, and I’ll take the plunge. We’ll do it together, man. Deal?”

Roland held a bottle of whiskey in one hand while he cooked pancakes with the other in his boyfriend’s house. ‘Good lord turned his back on me, Lucifer gonna set me free’ He sang and danced. When he saw Alex, he smiled. “Good morning, Alexander. And before you ask how I got in, I picked the lock.” He added. “I wanted to surprise you since I’m back from New Orleans.”

Alex had just woken up to the smell of food in his apartment and had gone to investigate when he’d laid eyes on his boyfriend in his kitchen, drinking, singing, and dancing- and cooking, of course. “Well, you certainly did surprise me,” he grinned, sliding up beside the other male to tuck himself into the male’s side. “It’s the best surprise I’ve ever had, too,” he added, leaning up to press a gentle kiss to the man’s cheek.

“That you are. I can’t decide if I find it sweet or just downright vomit-worthy.” Tristan smirked at him confidently and clapped a hand on his shoulder. “You’re just going to tell me how smoking hot I look in everything, ‘kay?”

“Rude,” Alex joked, rolling his eyes playfully. “But I don’t think you’e smoking hot? Dude, we both know that I’m just not attracted to you. But I’ll go and I’ll tell you what you look stupid in, I promise.”

“That’s great, bud!” He softly punched Alex on the shoulder. “Look at you! You made a man out him, bud! You should never have, man. It’d be his loss. If you get there, I’ll be your maid of honor.” He laughed. “I…” He took a deep breath. “It’s just… I… I don’t know, bro, you know we have this thing going on… I know he’s been through a lot, but… I… have feelings for him, man… deep feelings. I just wanna be with him all the time and he won’t see it. I don’t know what to do, man.”

“Of course you’re gonna be my maid of honor- you’re probably one of that only people in the world that I could force into a bridesmaid dress for shits and giggles. But I promise that I won’t make you walk down the aisle in one,” he joked, shaking his head playfully. “I don’t know. I... I was still scared. I love him, you know?” Alex looked at the other male for a moment before punching his shoulder playfully. “Dude. Just take the plunge. We both know that as sweet as Rome is, he’s not all that bright. He probably just hasn’t realized it. Take the plunge and tell him. He’s insane not to want you.”

“I know, I guess I’m just trying to come to terms with the fact I have to do this on my own.” She said, running her fingers through her hair, “I have friends who will help me move if it comes to that.”

“But you’re not doing it on your own. That’s what you have friends for. I mean, I don’t know much about kids, but I’m here to help. And you’ve got plenty of others,” Alex said simply. “And I could help you move. Roland helped me buy a new car, but I still haven’t sold my Hummer- which means that I’ve got tons of room for boxes.”

Archer couldn’t help but laugh, nudging the other lightly with his arms at the notice of the blush on his cheeks. “Glad to see you’re doing good,” he said, quickly shrugging his shoulders with a nod. “Alright, I can’t argue with that. Though, I have no clue what we could do— are there any oddity museums around here?”

Alex laughed sheepishly and nodded, shrugging his shoulders. “I mean, yeah. He means a lot to me,” Alex said softly. “Well, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum is here, and Madam Tsuade’s Wax Museum. Do those count? And it’s- I think theres a restaurant called Jekyl and Hyde’s that’s pretty awesome.”

“Yeah, I’ll think about it. I mean, whether he left or not, he is stil her father.” She mentioned, then sighed, “I need to be picky. I have to choose the right neighborhood to raise a child in.”

“Just because he’s the father doesn’t mean it has to be his last name,” Alex said slowly. “There are ways to find out good family neighborhoods. I meant as far as a house went, because you could always move after a few years into a better one. When you’re not pressed for time.”

“That’s great, bud. Tell me all about it.” He patted him on the shoulder as they walked downed the street. “Uhm…” Ash smiled. “I don’t know, man…” He shook his head. “It’s complicated.”

He’s actually serious about us, for one,” Alex offered, shrugging his shoulders slightly. “He’s never really been a marriage guy from what I know, but he asked me how I felt about doing it somewhere down the line. So I’m not afraid of losing him anymore.” He tilted his head slightly as he followed, letting out a small hum. “How is it complicated? You know you can talk to me.”
