Alexander & Remus ll The Proposal
ftremus:
Remus was pretty sure there wasn’t a person in town who didn’t know how much he adored Alex. He told everyone, honestly. He couldn’t help himself. So it was no shock to most when he said he’d be closing the shop half an hour early to make sure he’d get home in time to make himself look pretty for their date. Even thinking about it gave him butterflies. He smiled the whole way home and hummed to himself as he changed into a patterned shirt and black jeans.
He sat, waiting for Alex, and trying to occupy his mind by watching TV. It didn’t work one hundred percent because all he wanted to do was be with him. He was too excited and couldn’t concentrate. He jumped up like an excited puppy as he heard his lover coming home. “I’m soooo ready, I can’t think of anything better.” His arms wrapped around Alex and he pulled him in for a soft kiss. “Aw baby, thank you! No way! I was waiting to get this, thank you so much!” He giggled as he took the movie and placed it down. “I’ll put the flowers in some water then we can go. What’ve I done to deserve this treat?” He teased and placed the flowers in a vase of water before turning back to him. He held his hand out to Alex. “I’m ready when you are, handsome.”
Alex had been feeling nervous all day about asking Remus to marry him but the second he saw his face that night all the worry went away. Remus was the one for him he had known it from the moment they had met and tonight he would be taking the next step with him. Grinning he wrapped his arms tightly around his soulmate caging him in for a moment. “You look so good tonight babe. I’ve been waiting all day to see your handsome face.” He pressed a light kiss to his lips before letting him go.
“I know I’ve heard you mention it a few times. Maybe when we get home tonight we can watch it.” Or rather Remus could watch it and Alex could just snuggle up with him and half watch it. “I just wanted to take you out. It’s been a little while since we’ve had an actual date and you deserve to be wined and dined.” He reached out taking his hand and pulling him towards the door. “Let’s get going then.”
