I’m in the process of moving over to a main blog, as having an rp blog as a side blog irritates me. Url is still going to be alexdanvers-rp and I don’t plan to drop any threads.
Have now moved to @alexdanvers-rp. I'm not deleting this account, at least not for a while, so everything will still be here.
I owe a couple of things, but it’s midnight and honestly I’ve been wanting to sleep since 8:30
Since my work schedule should be somewhat back to normaI now, I do plan on being more active on here, starting from this weekend.

Alex had been unusually quiet for while, deep in thought. Her proposal to Maggie had been impulsive; desperate, even. She put on a brave face but she had been scared for so long. Only weeks before she had almost drowned. Had almost lost all of her chances to have so many firsts with Maggie. Seeing Kara lose Mon-el had only exacerbated those fears. It had reminded Alex that no matter how hard she fought, she wouldn’t always win. Alex had been terrified when she proposed. Terrified that it was too soon and that Maggie would say now. However, the fear of losing Maggie - of having to let her go - before she ever had the chance to have Maggie be her wife far - before she was ready - far out weighed the fear of rejection. Alex loved Maggie. She could never deny that, but she knew that love hadn’t been the only emotion fuelling her impromptu proposal.
Alex didn’t want her next proposal to be caused by fear. She didn’t want her love for Maggie to cause her to constantly act rashly. She wanted to take the time to think, to make sure that she was asking for something they were both ready for and both wanted. Spending the day at Maggie’s, Alex had been watching Maggie, thinking about the reasons she loved her. She thought about how beautiful, tough and smart Maggie was. She thought about the cute way she always tilted her head to one side when she was processing information. She thought about how Maggie always listened to her, with no signs of ever being bored.
Eventually she decided that moving in with Maggie was what she really, truly wanted. She wanted to be able to come home to her every day. She wanted her to be her constant. Realising that was a comfort to Alex. Even if her proposal was influence by outside pressures, the desire came from her. She was ready.
“Hey, Maggie?”, She said casually, looking over the top of a magazine she had been skimming through. “Do you think maybe, seeing as we’re engaged now, we should think about moving in together?” She then added quickly,putting the magazine down, “I understand if you want to wait.” She smiled briefly, then looked at Maggie expectantly, her heart palpitating as she awaited an answer.

She smiled a little and looked down, grabbing a couple slices herself. “Yeah, well, I’m not really a vegan.” She admits after she finished her first slice of pizza. “Between you and me, I add small bits of meat to her salads and stuff when she’s not up. Tiny bits so she doesn’t notice them, but still.” She smirked at that.
Alex’s eyes widened and she swallowed a bite of pizza to early, surprised by Talia’s confession. She coughed and spluttered a little as it got stuck in her throat. “I know that vegan food is gross, but you need to stop that.” Alex’s eyebrows raised slightly and she pointed a finger at Talia as she said this

“Well, even if I would’ve been fine I wouldn’t be who I am without you two. You made me who I am. Who knows where I would be without you guys.” Kara pulled Alex closer and buried her face in her neck which she tended to do as she got closer to falling asleep but Kara was determined to stay awake for as long as possible.
“Wow, okay.” Alex said, slightly surprised by Kara’s affection. It had been a while since the two of them had been so close, emotionally or physically. “Hey, you better not fall asleep on me.” Alex tried to sound serious as she said this, but smiled afterwards, glad to be able to, for once, enjoy Kara’s company without having any situations to worry about.

“I understand, if either one were to fall sick at my feet I would be in the same situation as you are.” The only thing that mattered in the end was helping to cure Kara, if it actually took revealing that she knew the secret she would but she didn’t want to, she wanted Kara to tell her herself, when she was ready and no sooner.
Moving back to her desk, thinking giving the woman a hug or any kind of comfort would be refused anyways, she sat down and started typing rapidly. After about thirty seconds she looked up. “It’s all set up, bring her in through the back entrance in an hour and there will be a room for the tests that are needed to be done open with only those I trust to work on Supergirl there, and of course you will be allowed to stay the entire time should you desire.”
Alex entered the L-corp building via the back entrance, as instructed, exactly an hour later. She glanced around before motioning towards two agents behind her, pushing Supergirl on a stretcher trolley, to come forth. Alex knew that she was taking a huge risk by accepting the help of a Luthor. She was well aware that Luthor’s liked to play the long game. However, this was her last shot. She knew that the DEO was not equipped to help her sister, however hard she had tried. She knew that without Lena’s assistance Kara would die; could even die with it. Working with a Luthor was worth the risk, if it prevented that from happening.
Alex nodded her head slightly in way of greeting Lena. “Miss Luthor,” She said, somehow not feeling on first name basis with the CEO. “If you would direct the agents to the room you mentioned earlier.”

Kara chuckled and said “Yes, I definitely do. It was so hard to fall asleep and when I did I’d always end up waking you guys up screaming…I’m honestly glad I don’t have nightmares that often anymore.” Kara was silent for a few moments before continuing. “Do you remember how I’d always tell you to go back to bed and just forget about it and how Eliza would always make sure she stayed until I fell back asleep? I don’t know what I’d have done without you two.”
Alex nodded. “I do remember. You would have been just fine without us, Kara. You’re strong, even without a yellow sun.” Alex lifted some strands of Kara’s hair, twisting them lightly around her fingers. It was something she had often done when they were children, but had since grown out of the habit. “You, on the other hand, were so important to us.”
I know I owe a couple of things .... but this blog was extremely ugly which bothered me ... so I finally fixed that.

“First off, you really think you should be casually talking about the DEO and your association in public?” Even Kara didn’t do that, and the little slip about having Kara there, instead of Supergirl, well it had to have been the worry making her do that. Of course every single one of Lena’s resources would be available to help Kara, no matter what it was, but that was beside the point. She needed to still make sure Alex calmed down enough to not make stupid slips. After all, even if Alex didn’t trust, or even respect her, she did trust and respect Alex.
“Secondly Alexandra, no matter what is needed you can always bring Kara here for help, although I can’t help but wonder why Kara of all people is in the DEO hospital. Did she catch something from supergirl? Maybe finding a cure for her would also help you treat Kara?” It was kind of a way out, but she didn’t want to put Alex in an awkward position of admitting Kara was Supergirl to her, and frankly if she wanted to treat Kara here that would become extremely obvious to anyone who was working on her when they needed kryptonite just to be able to draw blood or make an injection.
“After all if the disease is alien in origin it would help to work on the origin to find the cure.”
Alex froze for a second, her eyes widening as though she was a deer caught in headlights, as she realised how badly she had slipped up. So worried about Kara, she was barely even thinking straight. Hardly anything mattered to her, other than helping her sister. She saw suddenly, why J’onn had ordered her not to communicate with Lena; assured her that he would secure her assistance. When it came to Kara, or anyone she cared for, Alex was dangerous. For Kara, she would jeopardise everything and anyone else in the blink of an eye.
“You’re right.” A look of confusion crossed Alex’s face as she wondered what had led Lena to her conclusion, but she decided it didn’t matter, as long as that conclusion allowed her to continue to conceal Supergirl’s identity. “I’ve been so focused on Kara. Finding a cure for Supergirl first never even crossed my mind.

Kara was glad Alex didn’t push the point like she usually did. She was way too tired to deal with that. Kara sighed and started fidgeting with the bottom of Alex’s shirt. “I just couldn’t turn the world off like I usually can. Probably because I got overloaded before that. It was just too loud so, I couldn’t fall asleep.”
“ I hope things are better for you tonight.” Alex said softly, wishing there was anything she could do for her sister when she became so overwhelmed. “Do you remember when you first came to live with us? You couldn’t sleep properly for months. Which meant I couldn’t sleep properly for months.” Alex laughed, as she remembered the times, then seeming so long ago, when she saw her sister as nothing but a burden.

Talia smiled and nodded, coming inside and putting the muffins on the counter and sitting down at the table. She was embarrassed about the whole ‘talking fast and forgetting to breathe’ thing. “Sorry, that doesn’t happen a whole lot.” She admits once she had caught her breath.
Alex shrugged, then went to a cupboard which she reached up into, still looking over at Talia as she did so. “Oh, don’t worry about that.” Alex pulled two plates from the cupboard before walking back over to the table and sliding one of the plates over to Talia. “Help yourself.” She gestured toward the pizza that she had just been about to devour before Talia’s arrival. She grabbed a couple of slices for herself then sat down, right on the edge of the seat, leaning her elbows on the table. “Now, I don’t know what Maggie’s said, but I bet it’s not anything that can’t be made better with pizza and muffins.”

First of all, I must compliment on your fabulous choice of muse because Alex is so beautiful and such a badass, I can’t even! But you oooh, yoou! Do you have any idea about how wonderful you are? I just love talking to you sooo much! It’s great how we go from Alex, to Flash, to talking about time travel or sleep, it’s just so niice! You are so sweet and have such a big heart. Oh hey! <3 Now I feel kinda bad for not actually answering the thing you sent to me! This was really nice to wake up to and honestly made what I thought was going to be a bit of a rubbish day much better. Alex is definitely pretty awesome! I love that she’s a badass but still has her weaknesses and insecurities I love talking to you too. We definitely have talked about a lot of different things! And this reminds me that I still need to watch this weeks episode of The Flash. I was thinking the other day about how genuine and nice you are. You definitely don’t have to thank me for that.You’re a great writer. I love the Earth 24 verse too. Apart from the pronouns. I predict that they’re going to drive me (even more) insane (than I already am)

I just thought it was rather fitting, now that Lillian has put the fear of being hated by Lena if/when (definitely when!) she finds out she’s supergirl into Kara’s head.
And this is why I didn’t get any replies done today, oops. Thought I would have time for both but I was very wrong.

Every character is important, no matter if they are canon, an original character or an alternate version. If you work hard on your character- you should have been rewarded. Bravo! Well done! You should feel great that you gave something life.

“Alex Danvers……you know if it wasn’t for your sister I wouldn’t even be seeing you right now.” Honestly she was wary, very wary of the elder Danvers sister. Unlike Kara she didn’t treat her like she wasn’t a monster. Every time they met up it just seemed like another uphill battle, but if she was here there was a reason, and if it involved Kara that was something she would take time to figure out and help with if she could.
“What is it you need Miss Danvers.”
“Trust me, it it wasn’t for my sister I wouldn’t even be here right now.” Despite Alex’s best efforts to stay calm and rational, her voice shook a little, as she thought of her Kara. Truth be told, she was scared; terrified that Lena couldn’t or wouldn’t help her. She didn’t trust Lena - she couldn’t. Trusting a Luthor implicitly, as her sister did, was too much of a risk. It was reckless. However, having no one else to turn to, asking Lena for her help was Alex’s last resort. “Kara is sick. Really sick. I have her at the DEO, but there’s nothing more I can do. We don’t have the technology. I think you do though.” Alex waited, staring as she waited for a response, praying for Lena to give any indication that she might be willing to try to help her to save Kara.
Kara is so naive she doesn’t get it.

Kara grabbed the remote Alex handed her and eventually chose a random movie that seemed slightly interesting. Kara then completely flopped back against the couch and groaned. “I honestly don’t think I could be more tired if I tried.”
Alex glanced at Kara and frowned slightly as she noticed that Kara even looked tired. She turned fully to look at her sister, her eyes full of concern. “If you need a break from all of the D.E.O craziness, you need to let me know. We can cope without you for a few days.” Alex smiled encouragingly, hoping Kara would believe that the D.E.O could cope, even though she wasn’t so certain herself.
Kara shook her head. She was determined to make Alex believe she was okay. “No, no. It’s okay. I’m fine, Alex, I promise. I just need to actually sleep tonight. I was tossing and turning all night.” Kara laid her head on Alex’s shoulder and wrapped her arms around her waist.
Alex narrowed her eyes slightly, contemplating pushing the point further, but ultimately chose to trust thay her sister knew her limits. She smiled as Kara laid her head on her shoulder, and wrapped an arm around Kara's shoulders. She then tilted her head back, resting it against the sofa. She stared up at the ceiling, paying little attention to the television. "How come you couldn't sleep last night?"
