Talia had no idea how she has gotten into Lena Luthor's office at L-Corp. One minute she was sitting at her kitchen table eating her breakfast and the next she was here. And the worst part? She was still in her pajamas. She looks over at the desk to see Lena. "Don't ask, because I have no idea. How do I get out of your building?" (Crack bc yass)

“I was at my kitchen table eating breakfast a minute ago, I don’t know what the hell happened.” She groans, milk covering her chin, as well as a little bit of cereal. She yawned and headed towards the back elevator, sneezing into her left arm and suddenly just poofing back home.

Talia finally snapped, finally snapped for the first time since she had met Alex. “I DON’T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOU!” She yells, turning around. “I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU’D ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF HER BECAUSE I CAN’T ANYMORE! DON’T YOU GET IT?! I’M DYING!” She yelled, tears leaving her eyes and her body shaking. Talia had hidden it all of this time. “And you’re all she’s gonna have left.” She went into a meltdown of despair and winced in pain as she did.

Alex took a moment to process Talia’s words. She put her hand against her forehead, rubbing it as she tried to decide what she could possibly say. “I … I had no idea. I’m sorry” she said as she threw her arm down, away from her head, giving up. She couldn’t be angry, not after learning that Talia was dying. Death just made everything she was angry about seem petty. “Maggie doesn’t know, does she?” she said, followed by a sigh. There was no judgement in her tone, she just asked the question gently. The way she said the words made it sound more like a statement than a question

She shook her head and tried to calm down, sniffling and breathing hard. "I'm sorry...I just wanted to make sure you'd stay with her because I want her to be happy and have someone after I'm gone. She doesn't know." She said rather quickly. "I've went to every doctor and nobody knows what it is." She sniffled again and grabbed a few napkins in her pocket and blew her nose.

Besides, I know when I’m not welcome.” She states. “And coming to National City was a mistake.” She left down the stairs, regretful for even testing Alex. She’s always tried to make sure Maggie was okay, someone had to. At least, until their parents told her that Maggie hated her.

“I have never told you that you’re not welcome here.” Alex said, following Talia down the stairs. She no longer tried to hide her irritation. Her words were vehement. Finally, after months of treading on eggshells whenever she was around her, Alex had lost her patience with Talia. She had wanted to be liked by the one member of Maggie’s family who still accepted her[Maggie]. However, months of being snubbed and second guessed by her girlfriend’s younger sister caught up with Alex. Words that she had wanted to say for a while, but bit back to keep the peace, rushed out in an accusatory tone.  “You always push and push, trying to get a reaction out of me. Sometimes, I think you don’t want me to good enough for Maggie. Which I know isn’t true, because you care about Maggie. So, what is it? You clearly have a problem with me, and I would love to know what it is.”

She turned around slightly and looked at her. “It was a test. I just wanted to make sure that you’re good enough for her, and that you actually care about her. Our parents didn’t care at all, and they kicked her out for being gay.” She looked down at the floor and took a deep breath and slowly exhaled it, doing it a couple more times. “I just want her to be happy. And it makes me happy that she is finally happy and able to be herself.”

Alex leaned against the door post, her arms folded, as she listened to Talia. Her expression was blank, not wanting the irritation she felt be observed by Talia. She didn’t appreciate being tested, but knowing that Talia’s heart was in the right place, she couldn’t help but feel ambivalent towards her actions. Once Talia had finished speaking, Alex let out a small sigh, as she moved away from the door frame, towards Talia. “Am I good enough for you sister?” Alex shrugged. “Maybe not, but she seems to think so. I care about her so much. And,” Alex shook her head, laughing a little, not used to being so open about her feelings. Tears shimmered in her eyes as she was, not for the first time, overwhelmed by how much she loved Maggie. “I would do anything to ensure her happiness.

Though, she was even more nervous now than she was before. “It was a mistake coming here, I’m sorry for bothering you.” She gets up from the table and heads for the door. “Thanks for the pizza and enjoy the cupcakes.” She quickly says before leaving the brunette woman’s apartment. Why did she even bother with testing people? Why did she even bother moving here? Talia didn’t know, but what she did know was that coming to National City was starting to turn out to be a mistake.

Alex chewed the inside of her cheek as she watched Talia leave, contemplating just letting her walk away. She thought that perhaps it was best to allow Talia to calm down in her own time. She found herself standing though, taking a deep breath as she prepared to attempt to fix her mess.  She hadn’t meant to offend Talia, and certainly did want her to feel like visiting her was a mistake.She headed to her door, taking a couple of large strides, wanting to reach Talia before she left her floor. “Wait.” The word sounded like an order, but she added a soft “Please” to soften the blow. “You didn’t make a mistake in coming here. Clearly, we don’t know each other well. We should try to change that.”

Alex stared at Talia for  moment, lost for words. She didn’t understand Talia’s relationship with Maggie, and mostly tried to keep out of it. “Yeah, well I’ll make a note to tell her to stay away from those.”, she said, slightly irritated by Talia’s blasé attitude towards Maggie’s wishes.
