I ask for strength. I ask for help, in this moment of weakness. To be independent again, and learn how to stand on my own to feet when for so long you needed someone else to help you keep going. To learn to love myself, to believe that it was I who was lost, not I who lost. Deep down I knew this day would always come. For so long I was told what to change in order to receive the love I craved. Yet, no matter how hard I tried it never came. In this case, Lies were the light in my darkness. Catching a lie, has given me the strength to walk away and to finally say....no. I deserve better. Simple as that. It will be no easy task, but there has never been anything in my soon to be 24 years of life that I couldn't accomplish. Never let a dark cloud harden your soft warm soul.
