SANTO DOMINGO!

Who doesn’t need a change once in a while, get out of the rut and fly away to the other side of the world? And if the scenery is anything like this, what more can you ask for!?

Santo Domingo offers this a much more; it has wonderfully White Sandy beaches and water clear as glass which makes your stay here a relaxing vacation you’ll never forget. You can soak up the sun whilst lying on the beach, take a dip in the sea and enjoy their large selection of Caribbean cocktails! But it is nota ll relax and no play, Santo Domingo has wonderful nightlife too.

A great way to have fun is to learn how to dance a “bachata”, it’s easy plus Dominicans are lovely people! They’re happy, sociable and overall outgoing!

The Island offers large variety of activities to spend the day having fun! From excursions by boat to far away islands, underwater activities, swimming with dolphins, barbeques and visits to exclusive towns where few famous people are lucky enough to have their own houses.

Jew Memorial, Berlin

Berlin!

After going to Holland (we were only there for 3 days) we decided to make a detour over to Berlin! 

We saw the wall, experienced the nightlife, ETC.

We went to see Tacheles, one of the world's most famous squatter house,  here you can find home made jewelry, have a drink in the bar, watch a film in it's cinema, amongst many other things. 

An other main attraction is the concentration camps, this is not a place for the faint hearted! Being there makes what happened so much realer...

The tombs are right in the middle of the city, its the Jew Memorial a very typical place for tourists to visit but also extremely moving...

Believe it or not, in Germany people spend their days in parks, huge  parks! Its all green, the lakes are a prime place for wildlife (ducks mainly)!

And last but not least, the NIGHTLIFE!! 

Panorama club is the city's most important nightclub, it never closes and the music is great, you have to see it for yourself.

So over the Easter holidays we took a short trip to Holland!

We made it shorter than the rest because we had both been there and all we really had left to see was the Tulip festival! 8 weeks every year in April and May, Holland offers the most amazing collection of Tulips in the world, it attracts over 7 million tourists each year. It is really worth the trip. So apart from all the flower watching, we decided to go to one of the most amazing theme parks called Efteling! The parks theme is children's stories, set in a forest! BEAUTIFUL!

The Big Apple!

Here we are in NYC, the city where dreams are made, films are filmed and the greatest love stories in Hollywood have taken place. 

So far we've walked through Central Park, had a hot dog, watched a baseball game in the park and last but no least bought a pretzel!!

We walked up and down 5th Avenue and shopped till we dropped, we saw the empire state building and went to the top like King Kong. 

Plan for tomorrow: go to China Town and Little Italy, the Irish district and get on the Hop on Hop off bus to Brooklyn, home of one of New York´s most famous pizza places where New yorkers queue up for hours. 

Things yet to do and see: See the Statue of Liberty, Wall street, Macy's and Bloomingdales (for some more shopping). We yet have to discover the night life of the upper east side.
