10. For FF: Can you help me find a fic of WWX having a child with NMJ? I’m certain I’ve read it before but now I have no clue if my brain just…made it up or not lol

It does involve WWX getting resurrected into MXY’s body though. If I’m not wrong WWX had “memory issues” that leaves holes from his past ones, that’s why he doesn’t remember having a Nie/Wei baby until he’s back from the ritual like maybe weeks after. He also asked NHS for helping him find the child tho and kind of created miscommunications everywhere with LWJ (he also got kind pissy because he thought WWX is leaving him for somebody else). One point in the story LXC got bodyslammed by the Nie/Wei kid into the mud, and that was funny as hell

Kay's comments: A delightful post-canon story where Wei Wuxian's parents turn out to be alive! They got trapped in the Burial Mounds instead of dying and travelled forward in time to the post-canon era. Before they get reunited with their son though, they're wandering a little while on the search for him, hearing countless rumours and ending up in Lotus Pier where the current Jiang-zongzhu is differen from what they had expected. I'm always here for stories where Wei Wuxian gets his parents back, so I really enjoyed this one!

Excerpt: Something was very wrong in Yunmeng. She felt it as they passed through the towns that lay between Yiling and Yunmeng, the way that people looked at them with suspicion and hustled quietly away, the abandoned houses with lonely ghosts wandering around. Even though they didn’t want to delay for too long, they stopped to lay every one of them to rest if possible. It seemed wrong to pass through Chang-er’s birth land and leave them still restless and seeking help. “Something bad must have happened,” Changze said as they left behind another lonely road. “Fengmian never would have let this occur if he had a choice.”

Wei Ying agrees to share his spiritual energy with this beautiful stranger over the course of several weeks in order to save his life. They don't stay strangers for long.

Kay's comments: A wonderful modern AU with a nice flavour of magical realism and soulmates. After Lan Zhan's core gets damaged, Lan Huan makes use of a forbidden ritual to find his soulmate - the only one who can heal him. Luckily, Wei Wuxian doesn't press charges and instead immediately takes the next flight to save Lan Zhan's life. They fall in love. Lots of domestic fluff in this story and only minor angst.

Excerpt: Wei Ying eyed his brother for another moment before shrugging to himself. He turned back to Lan Zhan, his smile reappearing. "I'm really here for you!" Whatever Lan Zhan had expected him to say, it had not been that. "For me?" "Yeah! What are you supposed to do when a handsome prince falls into a cursed sleep?" Wei Ying laughed, eyes glittering. Kay's comments: The yearning in this story was strong! My yearning! To live this kind of cottagecore dream life! Lan Zhan being in Shanghai isn't a large portion of the story, because he cuts his visit short relatively soon after tensions arise between him and his uncle and also there's a gas leak back at the cottage that Wei Ying is watching. Since he returned early, he offers Wei Ying to stay with him for the remainder of the month and what follows is so much soft yearning and falling in love and just a story about two people who grow to call each other their home. Wei Ying is also a landscape architect in this and starts reviving the yard behind the cottage, while Lan Zhan works to archive his mother's writings. Both of them carry burdens with them, which they'll eventually share. Ah, just this story! Such a soft and comforting slow-burn, really what my heart needed in this cold, cold winter.

Excerpt: “Lan Zhan,” Wei Ying says again, voice wavering just a little. “You really don’t have to.” “I want to,” Lan Zhan repeats. “Wei Ying. Please stay.” Something dark flickers across the surface of Wei Ying’s eyes, but it disappears so fast, Lan Zhan wonders if he imagined it. He’s gone perfectly still, staring at Lan Zhan like he’s never seen him before, and Lan Zhan waits, his heartbeat loud in his ears. Finally, Wei Ying speaks. “Okay,” he says, his voice small and tentative, and Lan Zhan can feel his own shoulders relaxing. He hadn’t realized just how tense he’d become.

He names his daughter Wei Jie. and when they come back to yunmeng JFM explains it had the reason WWX had the ability to get pregnant was because of some ability CSR had. I think WWX goes on to have like 7 more kids with LWJ. I remember he adopts LSZ as a twin with one of his children.

He loses his core because of WZL and was taken to Nightless City by WC because WRH wanted him. WY goes through a lot of physical/emotional/mental abuse under WRH and the bad Wens but is cared for by WQ, WN, A-Yuan’s parents. The last thing I recall is WY learning demonic cultivation and teaming up with MY to undermine WRH… 😭

B) Wei ying visits a pawn shop regularly to purchase supplies for wangxian’s everyday. One day he was looking through spring books and tells the owner they aren’t any good. The owner challenges him if he can find a better spring book. Wei ying takes it as a challenge and starts writing one himself. After all wangxian are very adventureous and there’s not one position they haven’t tried, so when wei ying starts writing he can’t stop and goes very detailed. He takes the finished book to the pawn shop owner and tells him here’s a better one. Later unknown to wei ying that book gets really popular among the public and everyone learns how passionate wangxian are.

C) A modern AU based on the British dating game show “Naked attraction”

Wei ying goes as a contestant and lan wangji is one of the hidden naked men.

I just remember once scene in particular from it, if I’m not mistaken A-Yuan had a Jiang Clarity Bell and when he was in CR (still a child!) there was one time when the bell went off and his teacher was yelling at him to turn it off but he couldn’t and LWJ overheard and said that only those who had formed a golden core can get the bell to ring and he just blew the teacher off.

FOUND! I want to say that # 18 is part of Sami’s Time is But a Paper Moon series, but I can’t find which one. But I know I’ve read it. / does sound like Sami’s Time is But a Paper Moon; I think this is from the first story in the series, chapter 34 (search for the words “His idiotic bell” for that scene)

I remember WWX creates this tailsmain where I believe he can instantly send messages to a person if he has a lock of their hair? He travels all around but I remember he stays by the ocean at some pont and meets cool people and even helps train some of them? I remember the people he trained ended up going to some sect thing and Jin Ling contacts WWX and says he has protective disciples. At some point LWJ runs out of WWX’s hair I believe and WWX is going through all his emotions and decides to stop contacting LWJ and it causes a lot of issues that eventually gets resolved. Song Lan shows up too somewhere in the fic and he and WWX night hunt together I believe. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer, thank you so much!!

20. Hi! Can you help me find this fic? Unfortunately i don’t remember much. What i remember is the sunshoot gen is (kind of) a friends. Wwx, lwj, jc, and jzx (and nhs i think but i’m not sure) eat together in restaurant in yunmeng and lwj get drunk. He then play hide and seek with the other (they panicked because lwj is too fast) and when they are togerther again and walk to lotus pier, lwj goes to a lake to take a lotus flower (or a pod?) Followed by wwx who tried to stop him. And because of that they swore to never let lwj drink alcohol again. Thats all that i can remember. I read that years ago so it not a fic newer than 2021 or early 2022. Thank you!!!
