layman's terms
a backpack, a bush.....the forbidden forest? I was searching for centaurs all goddamn day
this happened about every eleven minutes. I am standing on volcano acatenango where we slept five to a sleeping bag, drank nine boxes of red wine and six mini bottles of antiguan rum, introduced the concept of "s'mores" to 85% of the group, and watched lava ascend into the sky until five in the morning. the valley that runs in between the two volcanoes is absolutely flooded with passing clouds from noon to sunset, and even through the night. like, zero (cero) visibility. we sat perched on the side of acatenango and as more and more clouds passed through to give their regards, our aspiración to climb volcano fuego was diminishing. the clouds were passing from left to right; we knew mother nature was fucking with us because after a brief 15-minute window of visible volcano bliss, the winds reversed and the same god damned clouds came back through the valley. the mockery was worth every step up the volcanic ash.
