Of course he believed her. Aaron liked to think that he could trust her, just like he could when they were kids. Maybe it was foolish, but if this was wrong he did not want to be right. “I’m glad…” It wasn’t like he wouldn’t love his sister if it was any different - but the supernatural pill was hard enough to swallow. “And I’m sorry… that you had to go through all that.” 

“Don’t be... it helped me find Claire and Jody.” Had she mentioned Jody and Claire yet? “They’re sorta my family now too. Plus I’m a lot stronger now. The only downside is that I missed out on being raised with you and by mom and dad.”

It wasn’t hard for him to believe what she said - Alex was his sister. Aaron trusted her in a way he would never trust anyone else, no matter how much time had passed since their separation. The thing that was even worse than a barrier, however, was the word that left his sister’s lips before she got quiet. Vampires. Again - He knew that he could believe her and that was exactly why his blood started to boil - but there was something he needed to know before he went on about T H E M.  “Does that mean… Are you? Are you a vampire?” 

That question caught her by surprise. The fact that Aaron believed her at all was a pleasant shock. To someone who hasn’t had much experience with the supernatural she could of sounded insane, but he believed her. Truly believed her, she could tell. “I was...” She spoke in a small voice. “Just for a very short time, but then ma--” No, that woman wasn’t her mama. “-my sire was killed and I turned back.” She pressed her lips together watching his face carefully, awaiting his reaction with anticipation.

“Also, if I cross paths with them, anything can take care of a human, so?” He chuckled. “I think it’s safe to say I’m set for good in this town.” 

“Thats true.” And the way he spoke of that gave her a slight unrest she was unsure why though. “Thats good.” She nodded.

“Some hunter stabbed me through my neck with a steak of some sorts. But, lucky for me, I highly doubt they’ll be able to find anything like that in this town,” he flashed a light smile. 

“Ouch...” She said, pressing a hand to her own neck. “Yeah, thats at least one upside.”

“Anything.” He breathed when she said that she needed to ask something. Aaron could only assume that he would have a million questions for her - it was only fair that he gave her the chance to do the same. “Barrier? No.” But it didn’t sound G O O D. As for the supernatural… “I don’t know. I think I kind of do. Why?” 

“Then I guess i’ll be the one telling you, there’s a barrier... and if you try and leave through it you explode. I know it sounds insane but its true... thats part of the supernatural thing.” She explained. “another part of the supernatural thing is that.. the people who took me weren’t people. But vampires.”

“yeah. weird, i know.” he smiled when she said she’d wanted a brother. “hey, i was always asking mom when i was getting a sibling. this isn’t what i imagined,, but it’s good.”

she couldn’t help but laugh. “i’m such you imagined a little sibling, not two big sisters.”
