I feel like Astro/Atom sees Yuko as his mom/mother figure. Because like she's there since his first day of life and in the show we see how she really cares about him. Astro definitely drew a mother's day card for her at school and she proudly placed it on her desk in the ministry & ochanomizu cried about it because it's just very much cute and pure Astro.

I also feel like Astro shipped Ochanomizu with Yuko because Yuko always nagged on him like a wife does or something. JUST UNTIL ochanomizu randomly (probably drank too much wine) told him one night he banged Tenma over the years

Finally finished an Astro Boy 2003 Flipnote I started in 2020! I started this as a drawing and made a picture music video out of it. It took a long time to complete since I was so busy and I am a perfectionist.

I was always intrigued how in the 2003 anime, robot Tobio disobeys Tenma just like Tobio did, but the reason he was discarded was that he was too dangerous. I remember thinking Astro as a character seemed older than Tobio in the English dub and later discovered the anime was censored. Please watch Astro Boy 2003 in Japanese.
