Embrace your weirdness. Make it your own unique factor. Being weird or strange is like being limited edition. Each of us is one of a kind and each of us is weird. So next time someone calls you weird, thank them. They basically just called you a unicorn.

Project Monsoon Clever colorful street art that only appears when it rains
After the Superhydrophobic Street Art, which uses a superhydrophobic coating to create designs which appear only in the rain, here is the Project Monsoon, which uses the same concept, this time with hydrochromic painting, which reveals its color only when wet. This amazing and clever project was designed by a Korean team of designers, in collaboration with Pantone, to provide color to the streets of Seoul during the rainy season, while paying tribute to the Korean culture. A brilliant idea! Source: ufunkÂ
The world is filled with such wonderful things.
Perfect magnets
Fun story: One of the first things I was taught as an astronomy student is that, if you want to be a dick to someone giving a presentation, ask them “and how do the magnetic fields play into this?” and they will invariably say “fuck you I don’t know” because no one understands magnetic fields they are black magic.
The signs as evil mythical creatures
Aries- A traveler, and spell caster. Mutters incantations under their breath, going mostly unnoticed. Deadly. At least one side of their face is always concealed.Â
Taurus- Appears in the forest as an innocent woodland creature to lead those wandering astray, never to be found again.Â
Gemini- A spirit who delivers nightmares to whoever they deem fit. Floats through the night, with a childlike giggle every time they make someone scream.Â
Cancer- The ghosts of warriors. Haunts the places that meant the most to them. Has an eternal desire for revenge, will torture anyone who disturbs them.
Leo- Forest fairies. Only visible to small children, tricking them into making deadly mistakes. Tiny, beautiful, but vain creatures. Bad tempers.
Virgo- A Satori, or a mind-reading humanoid. Seeks out fragile people, so they can drive the to insanity by speaking their thoughts before the other can say them.Â
Libra- God/Goddess of fire. Tall stature, dark eyes, voice filled with authority. Can intimidate anyone into their submission, but only keeps a very few close.Â
Scorpio- A demon humanoid who can kill any human just by looking into their eyes. Roams at night, wearing all black. Seeks out those doing unspeakable crimes and sends them to hell
Sagittarius- A spirit that predicts bad fortune/death for humans. They look innocent, with flowers in their hair and wide eyes but when they leave those flowers on your doorstep.. there is no hope.Â
Capricorn-Â A succubus/incubus, a creature who feeds of the romantic or sexual energy of humans by draining them. Breathtaking and mischievous, but very paranoid.
Aquarius- A water demon who lures sailors into the water only to drown them. Much like a mermaid in appearance. Very self-centered, but they are the most beautiful creatures you will ever meet.
Pisces- An apparition of a young woman that will appear and disappear at will to trick travelers into following them until they are lost, hopelessly.Â
I like this.
Me too.
well that neighbor feud took an amusing turn.

Covers for Log Horizon 10: Homesteading the Noosphere and Log Horizon Side-Story: Kushi Yatama, Do Your Best!
Ohtaka’s Backstage vol.278:
“The image is the cover of volume 27 that will be out next month. It’s to mirror the cover of volume 26. It’s the illustration that ended up hurting my eyes the most, and if you happen to spot the volume in the bookstores, then, by all means…
Since I don’t follow just one way to paint, each cover ends up looking differently. The cover of volume 15 is my favorite.
This week, we’re continuing with Kouen’s story. Even though Hakuryuu seems from his actions and manner of speech like someone who’s quite repulsive of others, I think more than anyone else, he’s the sort who develops an interest in others and expects a lot from them. When the people that he took a liking to betray those expectations, he’s seething with a strong resentment toward them.”
Ohtaka’s Backstage vol.268:
“The image is the cover of volume 26 that will be out next month.
I drew this picture while thinking that the Night where Judar and Hakuryuu took this pose will be in volume 26, but it turned out to be Night 244 from volume 25. My mistake…please, read while recalling those events from volume 25.
As for the current storyline, we’re continuing with the Kou Empire arc. It will be a chapter centered around Kouha and Kougyoku.”
COVER UPDATE! Log Horizon (novel) 2 is out July 2015!
Even though peace has seemingly been restored to Akiba, unrest churns beneath its surface. Learning that two of his students–the twins Tohya and Minori–have been bound to an unscrupulous guild, Shiroe makes his bid to bring order to the lawless streets. Are his band of handpicked veterans up to the task…?
• my mangas: MAGI: The Labyrinth of Magic
Do you know that the first episode of Log Horizon Season 2 will start on October 4th? Do you know that the anime series is adapted from the light novel series of the same name, written by Mamare Touno, illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara? Do you know that japanese light novels are becoming more accessible to the English-speaking community?
Yen Press have announced weeks ago that they have licensed this particular light novel series under their ambitious Yen On imprint. The series will be available for purchase in April 2015.
In addition, the manga adaptation of the main story, not the side stories, by the same illustrator Kazuhiro Hara will also be available in English by March 2015.
Hurrah for us fans! Support if you are part of the community! Meanwhile, enjoy these volume covers of the light novels while anticipating for the upcoming releases!
Here’s a reminder, it’s up for grab now from the stores, retail and online. Support this series if you like it, like me. My copy came yesterday and am liking it so far, due to its readability and additional content, such as inner monologue of characters, which is missing from its manga and anime. You will not regret it, definitely.
They are back~
So Kodansha has finally released the cover for part two of ATTACK ON TITAN: HARSH MISTRESS OF THE CITY (featuring art by Range Murata).
We’ll be releasing this two-parter in August and September this year. So get your preorders ready!!
Ohtaka’s Backstage vol.262:
“I took a rest last week. Magi will be back in this week’s issue.
The fight that involved Aladdin, Alibaba, Hakuryuu and Judar has been concluded. From now on, Kouen, his followers and other Kou Empire members are going to appear for real as well. The Kou Empire arc will continue, and I’m in your care.
Volume 25 will be out on the 17th of this month.”
No, but can I just flail about the politics of this some more?Â
Because, okay, here we have the population being all dubious about the military and their motives:
And then Rod Reiss looms over the wall in all his terrifying glory, and after a short while of panic, lo! a saviour appears:
Historia Reiss, killing her dad and then getting up and announcing that she’s the queen–capitalizing on this moment of crowd adoration.
NOW WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THIS BEFORE.
Back in chapter 55, Armin outlined a way for the SC to win the PR war.Â
Things have gone… very nearly according to his blueprint. Not deliberately. But there was definitely a titan incursion, and, although so far there’s been no talk of shifting responsibility to the old government, the population was, in fact, “easier to fool”. Just as predicted.
Yeah, everyone looked askance at Armin when he aired those thoughts. But Historia was there at the time, and she too heard what Armin was saying: a significant violent event that threatens the people can be used to sway these same people to one’s side if one rides in as the shining hero at the right moment.Â
I’m not by any means arguing that the SC engineered the situation with Rod, or that Historia did. But, narratively, the latest turn of events didn’t come out of nowhere, and there is a reason why Historia managed to orient herself in that situation quite so fast. She had heard pretty much this exact strategy spelled out recently, and she had the presence of mind and the determination to seize this chance.
tl;dr I love this story a lot
