Reader is factory worker, buff and know how to operate heavy machinery.
Plot start: you work at produce factory. Job is mostly to carry crates around and operate machinery on lines to fill said crates.
One day, power cuts out, accident outside you hear from coworkers. Power won't be back till a hood 12 hours so everyone is let off. You go outside, relieved and see the source of power outage. On the route home, there was big ass accident with a truck. As if it collided with a large thing. A moose maybe? Trees broken, etc. Go home, hear news about strange accident. Sightings of big thing running around in the area. Animal control on the case, but when you come back home, you see streaks of bright green and dark blue across the road. Following it leads you through a couple backyards and a trail of broken trees going into the forest...
Genre: I think I could do something serious. Going mystery/horror
Reader is a barista with an affiliation for video games and aiming sports, making you proficient in quick reactions.
Plot start: you're on closing shift alone, your cowerker called in sick and the other on you let go cuz they had their first date in ages. You didn't mind being alone, that only gave you the freedom to pick any music. You're running the coffee machines through their cleaning cycle and running inventory when you hear a door open. You pause, go at the front wondering if you'd locked the door. "Sorry, we're closed" you call out, but there's no one at the front. As you think you've hallucinated, you hear a hiss sending shivers down your spine. You soin around and see a large being unlike anything you've ever seen. And your first reflex is to pick up a mug and smash it into its head. Chaos follows...
Genre: this one would be a mix of comedy/adventure. More light hearted.
Reader is a bit of a recluse. You have your small farm and the animals are plenty good company.
Plot start: you are into your usual routine. Feeding the animals, tending to that one injured pig, watering the field, etc. Right the middle of repairing the fence by the forest, you see some sort of bulldog get out of the treeline. Well, not quite a bulldog. Just- a really big, square dog thing. You've never seen this kind of thing. You pause, taking your pliers just in case. You stand up and observe the thing, just as it observed you. It snorts and huffs, shifting in place and circling a bit, looking at the forest then at you, as if it wanted you to follow. You look back at your farm, pondering. Most of the tasks were done... you could allow yourself this curiosity. So you get through the fence and follow the thing. You walk long enough to start marking trees to find your way back. As you come closer, you smell wafts of smoke and sulfur. The trees grow sparce and you come into a clearing where the ground is obviously disturbed. Grass scrapped off, ash, remnants of smoke linger around... but there's nothing there. At least you though. Clicks echo in the clearing.. and you can't help but realize, that dog brought you to meet its master.
Genre: this one will be a bit more about actual alien contact implications. Politics and such. Almost philosophical/reflection on mankind but will carry out into action and more high stakes afvanture.
