Levi sat on the bed, ripping the sheets in his boredom but he stopped when he heard a small click sound. He looked to to where the sound came from, the door. Levi stood up and walked over to the door, cautiously, and grabbed the handle. He turned it and he smiled when he realized that it was unlocked. He swung the door open and found himself looking down a slightly dark hallway. His smile faded and he started walking, confused. At the end of the hallway there was a room and Levi slowly peeked around the corner, he widened his eyes when he saw people, other people, boys and girls, some that looked around his age. Levi had a feeling that they might have been in the same situation as him so he carefully approached them. 

Alison was first to turn and face the boy who was stood in the doorway, and became immediately cautious. She hadn’t seen him around here before, and she hadn’t came across him in her life outside of the dollhouse either. So she wasn’t about to just let him sneak up on them. “Who are you?” She shouted. “Show yourself!” She demanded.

“Ugh!” Spencer growled as she paced the small hallway, “I am so done with this place! It’s time to get out of here,” She finally said, turning to face Alison, a determined look on her face.

“And how do we do that, Spencer?” Alison asked her friend. “I’ve pretty much tried every nook and cranny of this place but if you have another idea then please go ahead and enlighten me because I am desperate to be out of here.”

Alison laughed at the boy’s comment. “At least being down here hasn’t made you lose your sense of humor.” She teased.

“Well if I don’t stay positive, who will?” She joked, nudging him with her elbow. “One of us has to do it, and no one else is stepping up.”

Alison nodded in agreement at Hanna’s comment and took a sip of her own tea. “I wonder how everyone is doing outside.” Alison said, it was more of a statement than a question, because nobody in the room knew more about anything outside than herself. They were all as clueless as each other. “Do you think there’s more of us down here?” She continued before realizing that maybe she wasn’t supposed to speak of the world outside of this room. Maybe that’s how A wanted it. “Sorry, lets change the subject.” She announced.

“Probably better than we are.” Hanna mumbled dryly. At least that was what she chose to believe. A could have done Lord knows what to their loved ones and being forced to live in oblivion was getting beyond tiring. Just about to answer Alison’s question about there being more people down here, she opened her mouth and briefly closed it again when her friend suggested they change the subject. Scanning the room, she quickly thought of something that might even enable them to speak a little more freely. “Well, how about you play us something on the piano?” She asked, pointing to the instrument. “You can play, right? And I’m sure some music would be delightful. I’ll turn the pages for you.” Exchanging a promising glance with the blonde, she hoped she’d catch the hint that she was looking to talk ‘in private’ with her.

“That sounds like a great idea.” Alison nodded before standing up, brushing the crumbs off of the front of her dress and walking over to the grand piano that was pretty much an exact replica of her family’s one. She sat at the stool and opened the song book, she flicked to one of her favorites to play and began to play, the music loud and beautiful. “So what did you want to talk about?” Alison asked, speaking just loud enough so Hanna could hear, but not loud enough for it to be heard over the music.

“Manipulative might be more accurate.” Alison agreed as she watched her look over the arrangements of cakes and biscuits strewn up and down the table. “I’m surprised too, I wasn’t sure when the next time I’d get to see everyone would be.” She paused. “I was starting to get worried, the only person I knew was definitely here was Em, and that was because she was in my room when I first got here.” Ali stopped. “Do you know if Cass is here?” Ali whispered. “I need to know if she is alright.”

“I’m sorry… I don’t know if she is here at all…” Aria paused for a second and nodded to herself as she began to list the people she’s been herded into meeting throughout the dollhouse. “I know Spencer, Hanna, Emily, Stuart and Wesley are here..” Clearing her throat slightly, Aria returned her attention to the food, her hunger finally winning out as she began to nibble on a cookie. Dropping her voice slightly, Aria’s eyes darted back to Alison, “Ali… Do you have any what day it is? Or why we’re having this party?”

Alison frowned at the news that she didn’t know if Cass was here, she wasn’t surprised but it still felt like a punch in the gut. “I know Cecilia is here too.” Alison added to Aria’s list of names. “And I have no idea. I know it’s none of our birthdays... at least I don’t think it’s any of our birthdays...” She trailed off.

“I don’t mean it like that, Stuart.” Ali sighed. “I mean that maybe if you stopped looking for just a day then A might falter, and make it that little bit easier for you to find an escape route.”

“I’m not joking, Cecilia.” Alison kept a straight face before flashing a convincing smile to the camera to hopefully show she was ‘enjoying’ herself. “I’ve been here a matter of days and I’m already craving freedom. Every day I draw closer to my third trimester of my pregnancy. I am not in the mood for your bitchiness, and I’ll be damned if you are the reason my stay here is prolonged.” She smirked sarcastically, keeping a calm and steady tone before picking up a muffin and stuffing it gently into Cecilia’s mouth. “Now can we please stop bickering and enjoy this wonderful party that A has kindly put on for us?”

Cecilia spat out the muffin Alison had stuffed in her mouth, gritting her teeth. “Now, that is not something I would classify as good manners.” She said taking a napkin wiping her mouth clean of the crumbles the muffin had left behind. “God, if you’re going to feed my niece like this then I only have even more sympathy for her now than I did before.” She said and looking over at her. “I don’t do tea parties. Barely held any as a kid.” pushing her chair out she stood up and dusted herself clean of anything that could have fallen upon her dress. Pursing her lips she walked around living room. “Cute.” She said a sarcastic tone coating her words. “But not my stile.” She said and picked up a picture of a little boy. “-A really did a number out of this entire ‘copy the dilaurentis living room.’- thing. Wasn’t Jason just an adorable little boy.” Cecilia said and looked over at the blonde before turning to the camera. “What do you think?”

“Oh but it was good manners, I was just so eager for you to try A’s wonderful baked goods, so I just had to be the one to make you taste them!” Alison lied through gritted teeth, keeping up a false smile the whole time. “Also, you don’t have to worry about your niece because I’ll look after her perfectly well, isn’t that right, Jessica?” She asked her bump, giving it a little rub. Alison followed the brunette on her tour of the living room and paused a couple of feet away from her as she picked up the picture of her brother as a child. “He was rather cute.” She nodded. “Why do you ask?”

“Don’t get your hopes up. But I’ve noticed something strange around here, and I think it could be a way out of here.” Alison announced to ____, who was listening with complete concentration, hanging on every last word that came out of her mouth. “I’m not sure anybody else is gutsy enough to try to escape with me, but I think you are.” She looked at ____ for an answer. She was growing impatient in this hell hole, and the sooner ____ agreed to escaping with her, the sooner they could be out of here.

Stuart looked at Alison and sighed. He looked at her and shook his head. He couldn’t take it anymore, really, but Alison was somehow right. If A saw them all suffering, it would be worse for everyone. Especially for him. “Don’t you think I tried to escape already? All I’ve done is look for a way out when the lights go out. And then I get tortured by that psycho. That’s what happens when I try to find a way out, and I’m not sure if I want it to happen again.”

“Well maybe you should stop looking...” Alison said. She knew that he would think it sounded stupid, but she hoped he would hear her out. “The more you look, the harder he or she is going to make escaping for you.”

“I can’t – I can’t take this anymore. I’ve lost the count of how many days I’ve been here. I know we’re not suppose to give up to this psycopath. Or whatever it is. I want to get out. It’s hard to say this, but I miss school. I miss my friends.”

“I know it’s hard, Stuart.” Alison nodded in understanding. “But we have to keep going, the harder we take it the better it is for them.” She whispered before discreetly pointing up at one of the cameras. “If they see us suffering, they’re going to want to drag this out. If we make it seem like it’s a cake walk being in here, they might find us boring and release us.” She touched his arm for support. “I miss everyone too, but I know that I have to battle through this and come out of the other side knowing that I did it all just to see them again.”

“I couldn’t agree more.” Hanna nodded slowly, lifting her cup to her lips once it had been filled but only taking the tiniest sip - somehow she couldn’t bring herself to trust herbal refreshments served by A quite as easily as cookies. No evil could come from cookies, right? “Come to think of it, this could become the kind of tea party the Mad Hatter would be proud of. Not that anyone here is mad.” She hurried to correct herself. “I mean, just- look at that porcelain teapot! What design!” Okay, she officially had no idea how long she could keep up fawning over teapots until A would get fed up with her but she could only hope they liked porcelain as much as every other person. “It’s just so authentic. One could really ride the wave of planning vintage parties. Effortlessly, I’m sure.”

“What the hell do you think this is?” Alison asked in a hushed tone, leaning over the table so Aria could hear her. “Why is A doing this? It’s like they’re being… nice?”

“I think the word you’re looking for is manipulative Ali…” Aria’s voice trailed off as she eyed some of the treats on the table before them and trying to decide if they were poisonous or not. Her stomach let out a rumble, she didn’t remember the last time she had eaten. “I’m surprised A is letting us be together more than anything, I didn’t even know you were in here, Ali.”

“They are good.” Alison agreed, polishing off a cookie herself. “Well I know for a fine fact that it won’t be me slipping up, I’ve been here the least amount of time and I already crave freedom. I don’t want to add to my sentence.” She whispered, before speaking again. “Thank you so much, A, this party is truly remarkable!”

“Same.” Hanna muttered under gritted teeth. “Although I can’t say I’m not tempted to voice my feelings.” Quickly taking another bite to seem preoccupied, she smiled sweetly once she had swallowed it. “Oh yeah, truly. The last time I enjoyed myself so much at a party must have been when I crashed Sean’s car into a tree.” That bit of sarcasm simply couldn’t have been held back but she hoped it didn’t do too much harm. “Maybe the host should consider becoming a party planner. Unless they are one already. I wouldn’t be surprised.”

Alison blew some air out of her nose as a sign of amusement at Hanna’s comment about Sean’s car before covering her nose and mouth with the back of her hand and passing it off as a cough. “Good one.” Alison whispered before pouring her and Hanna some tea out of a porcelain teapot and picking up a cookie each for them. “Mmm, delicious!” Alison falsely enthused, raising the cookie up to the camera in a ‘toast’ to A. “Hanna is right, these baking skills and this talent for party planning, your business would succeed immensely!”

“Allison!” Cecilia mocked adding on a fake smile as well,  as she looked at the blonde girl. “I don’t care!” She didn’t do orders, especially not from some psychopath that tried to treat her as a real life doll. Besides, she was a bitch and she knew that and so should -A.

“Yeah, in their awfully twisted way.” Hanna muttered, feigning a smile for the surveillance camera she had just spotted. “I’m certain they have a secret agenda. Did you read all this ‘behave’ non-sense? They’re probably just waiting for one of us to act up so that they have even more reason to punish us.” Clearing her throat, she took a bite from cookie she had helped herself to. “But those cookies are really good. Compliments to the baker.” She said in her voice’s regular volume. “Have you tried one yet?” This attempt at casual conversation even weirded her out while she was at but she was sure roughly this had to be what A expected from them.
