Treat Yourself to Some Tea
Tea is the best. I have always enjoyed green tea, black tea, white tea, and herbal teas. But I never understood the depth and nuance of Oolong tea until last year.
It all started when a friend of mine on Facebook posted about his friend San-bao. San-bao is a german tea master who travels to Taiwan twice a year. Taiwan is where Oolong is freshly harvested and prepared by local masters. While San-bao is there, he tours the many business of different tea masters. He samples their products and examines their beautiful handmade teaware. To better understand the experience, check out his documentary here.
San-bao also takes orders. That’s right; he’s a personal shopper for tea. So as an experiment I placed an order with him. I asked for three kinds of Oolong tea and some teaware. When it all arrived, I was completely taken aback. Never before had I experienced tea on this level. You can find some pictures here.
It was amazing not only to drink some of the finest Oolong tea in the world but to learn to discriminate between the nuances of flavors. One of the most famous that he offers, which I cannot recommend enough, is the Golden Lily Oolong tea! It smells and tastes like those Chessmen cookies from Pepperidge Farm. Seriously, it’s so cool.
He has a Facebook Group called Teafriends, in which people commune over their love of tea. You can reach San-bao there or by messaging him directly. He is traveling to Taiwan again in two weeks. Place some orders! I have already asked for more Golden Lily plus some others. He’s a wonderful fellow and loves to share his passion for tea.

I'm a barista for Starbucks now! For a few months, really. It's great and I love it. Also here is a coffee sleeve I embellished and a sweater wearing fox, enamored with a giant cuppa. I want some coffee.
So, I lost my phone for a few days, but then I found my phone. In the mean time, I planted some mammoth sunflowers and some eclectic mix of flowers that are easy to maintain. So hopefully they won’t be eaten by animals or destroyed by insects. I bought a chemex and it shipped today. The mural is almost done. The blanket is almost done. Chemex coffee will give me superpowers. :p I’m going to brew bongo java #madeintheshade with #cardamom I’ll probably post pictures when I make it.

I have a car again! (it’s my boyfriend’s, given to him as a graduation gift but he has let me drive it. i named the car “momo”, which was definitely inspired by avatar:the last airbender) I am going to have glasses again! (i ordered them online from zenni optical. i will certainly take a boatload of selfies when they arrive. should be a week, i think) I’m getting barista experience at my heart’s home, the local coffee house, and I could not be happier about it! My temper has been hella explosive and unpredictable lately. :( bellybellybellybellybellybellybellybellybellybellybellybellybelly ^^^ That is what goes through my head as I moan over gastrointestinal pain and try to sleep away regrets
Literally the same week
My car’s motor died. At least it was paid off, I guess. And thankfully, when it died and caused my brakes to lock, I was going 25 in a local neighborhood, so I just coasted over to the side of the road and forced my car into park. No damage to me or anyone. The one casualty was my car, my Janeway, who will now have to be sold for parts or something. Also, I was on my way to work. Not delivering pizza until I get a new ride! My boss is very understanding, as is letting me work inside for now while I try to get a car to use for deliveries again.

Almost every night I fall asleep thinking about what I hope to eat for lunch the next day. Tonight is no exception.
I FEEL SO ALIVE
ALKJDSAOIJAJSDFJASJAJAJSLJDSLKDKSDJKDFPORELNKDAFNDJKL; I just love yoga so much! I can't believe how much better I feel during and after getting my yogas on. I feel more calm, content, and focused. I feel less anxious, insecure, and self-loathing. I love all the new flexibility I've gotten by sticking to my yoga every day practice. Three months in, but I'm really looking forward to the halfway mark and especially to the one year mark! Man, I feel great. Time to get ready for work and bring home that (soy) bacon. :p
