Syd: "Jobs! That's still a thing, people are still doing that?"
Olivia: "Before the pandemic, it was already so hard to find a job!"
Syd: "But yeah, now with everything shut down, getting a job is just so much more competitive."
Olivia: "I applied to work at Corn Dog Shack and they rejected my application before I even fully submitted it."
Syd: "I tried to apply to this really prestigious job in the Ukraine where this man wires me thirty dollars and I send him pictures of my toes--"
Olivia: "Thirty dollars? That's almost a whole avocado!"
Syd: "--but then he told me I'm kind of on the older side to be working."
Olivia: "To be working in general?"
Syd: "Yeah, he said, um, 'Yucky yucky, too old! You should be retired or dead.'"
Olivia: "How old are you again?"
Syd: "Twenty... five?"
Olivia: "Oof, yeah, that's a little old to be female."
Syd: "I'm thinking about going missing!"
Olivia: "Oh! Have you heard back from that online gig you were applying for that pays so much more than a restaurant wage?"
Syd: "Oh, unemployment?"
Olivia: "That's what it's called!"
Syd: "No, they sent me this email that says, 'Sorry, no money left! If you'd like to reapply, don't.'"
Olivia: "How do people our age, like, have money?"
Syd: "Most of them worked their way up to having wealthy parents when they were born."
Olivia: "Right! We should have done that."
Syd: "We were born wrong!"
