He snuck up behind her, placing his hands over her eyes. “Guess who.” He hummed in a sing song voice before turning her around. “Eh, that was probably pretty easy, huh? That being said… we should do something today. Like as an honest to goodness couple.”

"Oh, so we're that couple, huh?" Alice teased before turning around to face the taller male, standing on her tippy toes to press a kiss to his cheek. "Yeah?"

He prepared himself for heartbreak. How could he dare to hope she’d feel for him as he did for her when he’d put her through so much pain. Albus closed his eyes, waiting for her answer. When she finally spoke, he couldn’t help the ridiculous smile that overtook his features. As she leaned into him, he went to rest his hands on her hips. Without saying anything, he lifted her up and twirled her around before setting her on the ground and bringing his lips crashing into hers. “Wow. Alice Longbottom is my girlfriend. That must mean she likes me.” He teased, leaning in for another kiss.
Alice was sure she was insane. Well, wasn't she? The past few months had been a whirlwind of nothing but craziness. A huge mess, if you will. Yet, all she wanted was him through everything. That much she had come to realize. Nothing else mattered. A small laugh emitted from her lips as he spun her around. "Mhm, you're okay, I guess." She mumbled against his lips.
“Alice.” He replied softly, moving so that he could face her. “I’ve never been more sure of something in my life.” And that was true. After the past couple months, he could honestly say that nothing would make him happier than to be with her. “I want to be yours more than anything. More than I even wanted to be on the quidditch team.” His voice was still soft as he reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “I love you Alice Longbottom. I’ve always loved you. Maybe not in the same way that I love you now, but it’s always been there.” He rested a hand on her cheek. “Let me be your boyfriend.”
Alice took a deep breath as she tried to keep her composure. There were very few times in her life where she found herself actually lost for complete words. This was one of those times. He loved her. And suddenly nothing else around them mattered in the slightest. "You love me, huh? I love you more. " She couldn't help the stupid grin that formed on her lips as she leaned closer into him. "I think I can do that."

Albus moved to stand behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head against her shoulder. He didn’t say anything at first, moving in to press a gentle kiss to her neck. “That’s a given but…” He trailed off, not entirely sure he should say everything he was feeling. “That’s not what I meant.” Albus muttered. “I…. I want to start the year off right… I’d like it if I could be yours.”
"Al.." Alice began softly, a sigh escaping past her lips exactly right after. Though, she couldn't lie. There was always something comforting about him that no one else could possibly compete with. "Al, are you sure? I just-- can't deal with anymore uncertainty. It's exhausting."
The party had given Albus a lot to think about. He’d finally begun to let go of his feelings for Frank and all he could think about was Alice. He realized not only did he want her, he needed her. After wandering around aimlessly, he spied the all too familiar figure on the shores of the black lake. Letting his excitement get the best of him, he ran towards the other at top speed. As he neared, he slowed down. Out of breath, he looked her over. “Alice. What are we?”

Lately it seemed like some sort of drama was everywhere, around everyone. At Hogwarts, back at home. So it was certainly wasn't a lie that the brunette was feeling overwhelmed about everything. Only finding solace in being by the lake. Where she thought she was completely alone until she heard fast paced footsteps. Of course. "I don't know... a complete and utter mess?" Alice answered, her gaze staying on the view in front of her.
“Awesome! Figured I could use the added edge."
"Of course. It definitely gives off 'don't fuck with me vibes.' I dig it. "
“Oh God, did I fell asleep again?” She muttered, looking around knowing that she was near to the lake but there on the grass,she had a very hard time to sleep at night.
"Yeah... Are you okay? You must be freezing."
“Oh, well, I just wanted to try something new, y’know? Spice things up from the usual blonde. New year, new hair, new me.”
"Way better than the usual blonde."

“Alice Longbottom, you are a vision.” He replied, a goofy grin appearing on his features. “I couldn’t help it. I’m fire and you’re ice apparently.” He motioned to their outfits. “I’m pretty sure even I want to knock dad out. So long as your dad doesn’t want to knock me out… we’re fine.”
“Fire and ice... I guess that’s the best thing that describes us, huh?” Alice replied softly. Of course that was the first thing that popped up almost immediately in her mind and she couldn’t stop it from falling from her lips. “Should we get into a line then? Trust me, I don’t even think he knows, honestly.”

More like following around like a lost puppy.” He wasn’t about to mention he hadn’t even realized it was her until she’d turned around. “Having… having a good time?”
She couldn’t help the stupid grin that formed upon on her lips as she tucked her wand back into her heel. “Albus Potter, looking ever so dapper in velvet, following a girl around like a lost puppy? I don’t believe it.” The brunette teased before shaking her head. “Of course. I mean, I’m totally convinced my dad wants to knock yours out, like I'm guessing everyone does, but all’s well.”

“I’m pretty sure everyone here is a lightweight. Three drinks and they start giggling, five and they’re about to admit their secrets to the world.” Victoire laughed and took a sip from her drink. “You look amazing tonight Ali. I think I’m a little bit in love.”
“I mean, is that really a bad thing though? Let’s just air out all the dirty laundry before the year’s over.” Alice teased with an arch of her eyebrow, her grin only growing at Victoire’s words. “Well aren’t I lucky to be loved by such a goddess?”
He wasn’t sure what to expect from the party. There was still tension between the members of his family and he was certain Rita Skeeter would sniff it out long before the party was over. He made a beeline for the refreshment table when he caught sight of one of the prettiest girls he’d ever seen. Rather than carrying on with what he was doing, he followed after the brunette like a lost puppy. It wasn’t until she turned around that he realized who he’d been chasing. “Alice… I just… I… oh wow.”

After everything that had happened over the past week, Alice was just looking forward to unwinding a little bit. She knew eventually she had to deal with everything, maybe when they got back to Hogwarts, but she refused to waste any more of her break feeling as shitty as she had been. And yet, she felt like someone was following her? She took no time in taking out her wand and turning around only to lower it. Albus. "Shit man-- stalking me, huh?"
