The Evolution of: Dan Stevens
FIRST LOOK AT DAN STEVENS AS LEGION IN FOX’S UPCOMING X-MEN TV SHOW!
Dan Stevens plays the titular character Legion in the upcoming TV show. The show is set within the same cinematic universe as the X-men movies and is due to air on FX in 2017!
#3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehe…
Look, a girl! Yes, I can see it’s a girl, you fool. What if she is the one?
For who could ever learn to love a beast?
FilmNation has also sold Michael Grandage's 'Genius' and the forthcoming sci-fi film 'Redivider,' starring Dan Stevens, to Shanghai-based Linmon Pictures.
The deal was part of a trio of sales made by FilmNation to Linmon. The Chinese company also has acquired Michael Grandage's Genius, starring Colin Firth, Jude Law and Nicole Kidman, and forthcoming sci-fi Redivider, starring Dan Stevens and directed by Tim Smit.

Lancelot never goes out of style.
A visually accomplished, psychologically compelling drama with top-notch performances masterfully depicting intimacies gone awry.
Fluk and co-writer Sharon Mashihi refreshingly treat their characters as multifaceted adults, each with their flaws and attractions. James’ arrogance becomes painful after displaying such humility before God (“The Ticket” is a natural for any ecumenical prizes) and yet he’s not wrong in bristling at his previously infantilized state. The film’s title refers to a story James tells in his sales pitches, about a guy praying to win the lottery without ever buying a ticket: opportunity needs to be actively seized, and yet what are the consequences when success arrives?
Acting is exceptionally strong, especially rising talent Stevens (“Downton Abbey”), whose finely calibrated portrayal and resonant, honeyed voice should have casting agents calling.

Dan Stevens and Malin Akerman talk their new film, The Ticket, plus Beauty and the Beast, Legion, Billions, and more!
Den of Geek sat down with Stevens and Akerman to talk about The Ticket, and Stevens also spoke a little about his interesting roles in Disney’s 2017 release Beauty and the Beast and the planned X-Men TV spin-off, Legion.
The former Downton Abbey star excels as a family man who becomes an arrogant villain – but the film-makers don’t know what to do with his transformation
As conceived by writer/director Ido Fluk in his stylish, slow-burning psychological drama The Ticket, that scenario would spell your doom. Admirably cynical until it loses its way in the final stretch, The Ticket nevertheless maintains a provocative allure, bolstered by a fiercely committed performance from Dan Stevens.
Interesting review. Not sure I agree about an unearned ending… but still fascinating.
Vanity Fair review–is about the same.
“I’m just staring down this plug hole, and my conversation is disappearing down it, I think.”
Dan Stevens - Deadline Studio at Tribeca Film Festival
“With saturated sound and a vibrant canvas, The Ticket makes for a cringing moral tale. The atmospheric adventure from blindness to vision underscores the complexities of the disability. Rather than repeat what audiences expect from films about blindness, Ido Fluck instead choose an innovative take on age-old suspense.
The provoking story of would be nothing without a strong cast: Dan Stevens, Malin Akerman, and Oliver Platt put on a powerful display of seduction and betrayal. Ido Fluck’s careful crafting of a story about handicap is a fearless film that should not be missed.”
Verdict: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
