If you could hear the cacophony in my head... Those are the voices that have the power. It’s so much easier to obey them than to nourish myself.
vitanitf:
“So don’t tempt me.”
“Do what you will, but I shan’t be moving on my own. I’m far too comfortable here.”
a-shi-danza:
“But you are laying in the middle of the floor. Why?”
“Yes. I don’t remember how I got down here but moving will be too much work.”
dustinthesky:
“Uh, are you okay there? Is there a reason you’re laying in the middle of the hallway?”
“It’s so oddly comfortable down here. Have you never tried it?”
vitanitf:
“You say that like it would be hard…?”
“Oh probably not, I’m fairly tiny.”
xtinytink:
Leia hissed through her teeth, “ouu…please don’t tell me those were important. Are you sure you can’t dab the paper with paper towels and save any of it?”
“Oh, no, no. Just this month’s worth of lyrics I’ve been working on. I can probably save most of it, but some of it I wrote in pencil so I don’t know about those.”
coldandrainneverbotheredmeanyway:
I guess I must really be that pale. Ah Norwegian genes have failed me today.
I get that. I never used to have to wear sunscreen every day back in the Bay, but I mostly do it down here. Well, I’m sure there are great things Norwegian genes are good for! Your pallor is just your curse. I like to think we all have one.
torinpascal:
In her house, Mauve had seen plenty of sheet music and pages of handwritten songs destroyed. She’d learned to have backups for her backups. Even though she wasn’t sure what was in the girl’s notebook, her heart went out to her, and she was rushing over immediately. “Oh, no, maybe I can help?” Lips pursed, Mauve leaned down to blow on the papers, attempting to dry them with the air in her lungs.
The stranger’s sudden appearance produced a smile amidst Nora’s current stress, and her mode of help had Nora giggling. “Oh, thank you. Here.” Nora grabbed a small stack of unused napkins from a nearby table and carefully placed them on sections of water. “You can recycle wet paper, right?”
justeeyore:
“Oh gosh, oh gosh, how important were those?” Darby grabbed a handful of napkins, desperately dabbing at some of the water puddles on the table, offering half of the stack to Nora. “I’m so sorry. Will you have to? Do you think they’re still readable?”
“Only medium important.” The blonde accepted the napkins Darby offered, joining her in the attempt to clean off the table. “I should be able to read them eventually, but I have a test in a few days on the last few pages so I’m a little worried they won’t dry in time.”
nickwildex:
“Oh Nora.” Kit said, picking up the damp papers with a gentle touch. “I’m so sorry. Here, let me help you rewrite them. It’s the least I can do for being so clumsy.”
“It’s okay, Kit, really,” Nora reassured. “If it wasn’t you, I would’ve knocked it over eventually. Thank you. Hold on.” Still holding gingerly to her notebook, Nora tossed a small pile of napkins onto the spill. “I only need the notes since the last test, I think, so it shouldn’t take too long if you’re helping me.”
outta-the-junkyard-angel:
He wasn’t paying attention as he reached for his phone. Of course it wasn’t his intention to knock over the cup and as soon as he did, he jumped up from his seat. “Oh my god. Nora, I’m…I didn’t mean to…I…uh, sorry. Sorry.”
“It’s okay!” Nora interjected quickly. “Really, it happens. I lived over a cafe, I’m used to spills! I just... hope I can read this when it dries, I don’t know if I can remember some of these lyrics...”
fastcrthanfast:
“Oh, bad luck.” Bonnie cringed at the mess. She handed the girl her own napkins because she felt bad for her.
“Thanks.” Nora tried not to pout, accepting the napkins with a thankful smile. Using one hand while the other gingerly gripped her notebook, she placed them atop the spill to mop up some of the spill. “I shouldn’t be surprised, my luck isn’t great, but this is just a bummer.”
d-blake:
“Really? I like that idea a lot. Can you pinky promise? No one breaks those, my best friend says it’s bad luck to break them.
“Your best friend is wise.” Nora smiled, extending her pinky for the younger girl. “I pinky promise.”
whydidyoutakemeaway:
This is the greatest thing to ever happen to me, holy shit. No one can give me shit for acting like I’m 20 still now.
Well then, congratulations! I’m just glad my mom is in San Francisco, because I don’t think I’d be able to handle that.
“Noooo.” Water spilled across the table, drenching Nora’s notes as the now empty cup rolled off the surface. The blonde quickly pulled her notebook from the mess and liquid subsequently dripped from it, adding more to the spill on the table. “It’s fine, this is fine, I’ll just... rewrite them...”
taigecomingthrough:
“Oh, how the other half lives…y’all are so spoiled at this place. It’s crazy.”
“In comparison to other places?” Nora shrugged. “It is pretty nice.” She was used to sharing a one bedroom apartment over a coffee shop with her mother before coming to Walt for high school, and the campus definitely didn’t compare.
zer0-de-luca:
Kyle picked up the Walt Academy handbook, flipping through the pages. “Huh…those words aren’t really my thing, ja feel?”
“Everyone’s kinda supposed to follow them, so...”
