If you could hear the cacophony in my head... Those are the voices that have the power. Itâs so much easier to obey them than to nourish myself.Â
vitanitf:
âSo donât tempt me.â
âDo what you will, but I shanât be moving on my own. Iâm far too comfortable here.â
a-shi-danza:
âBut you are laying in the middle of the floor. Why?â
âYes. I donât remember how I got down here but moving will be too much work.â
dustinthesky:
âUh, are you okay there? Â Is there a reason youâre laying in the middle of the hallway?â
âItâs so oddly comfortable down here. Have you never tried it?â
vitanitf:
âYou say that like it would be hardâŠ?â
âOh probably not, Iâm fairly tiny.â
xtinytink:
Leia hissed through her teeth, âouuâŠplease donât tell me those were important. Are you sure you canât dab the paper with paper towels and save any of it?â
âOh, no, no. Just this monthâs worth of lyrics Iâve been working on. I can probably save most of it, but some of it I wrote in pencil so I donât know about those.â
coldandrainneverbotheredmeanyway:
I guess I must really be that pale. Ah Norwegian genes have failed me today.
I get that. I never used to have to wear sunscreen every day back in the Bay, but I mostly do it down here. Well, Iâm sure there are great things Norwegian genes are good for! Your pallor is just your curse. I like to think we all have one.
torinpascal:
In her house, Mauve had seen plenty of sheet music and pages of handwritten songs destroyed. Sheâd learned to have backups for her backups. Even though she wasnât sure what was in the girlâs notebook, her heart went out to her, and she was rushing over immediately. âOh, no, maybe I can help?â Lips pursed, Mauve leaned down to blow on the papers, attempting to dry them with the air in her lungs.
The strangerâs sudden appearance produced a smile amidst Noraâs current stress, and her mode of help had Nora giggling. âOh, thank you. Here.â Nora grabbed a small stack of unused napkins from a nearby table and carefully placed them on sections of water. âYou can recycle wet paper, right?â
justeeyore:
âOh gosh, oh gosh, how important were those?â Darby grabbed a handful of napkins, desperately dabbing at some of the water puddles on the table, offering half of the stack to Nora. âIâm so sorry. Will you have to? Do you think theyâre still readable?â
âOnly medium important.â The blonde accepted the napkins Darby offered, joining her in the attempt to clean off the table. âI should be able to read them eventually, but I have a test in a few days on the last few pages so Iâm a little worried they wonât dry in time.â
nickwildex:
âOh Nora.â Kit said, picking up the damp papers with a gentle touch. âIâm so sorry. Here, let me help you rewrite them. Itâs the least I can do for being so clumsy.â
âItâs okay, Kit, really,â Nora reassured. âIf it wasnât you, I wouldâve knocked it over eventually. Thank you. Hold on.â Still holding gingerly to her notebook, Nora tossed a small pile of napkins onto the spill. âI only need the notes since the last test, I think, so it shouldnât take too long if youâre helping me.â
outta-the-junkyard-angel:
He wasnât paying attention as he reached for his phone. Of course it wasnât his intention to knock over the cup and as soon as he did, he jumped up from his seat. âOh my god. Nora, IâmâŠI didnât mean toâŠIâŠuh, sorry. Sorry.â
âItâs okay!â Nora interjected quickly. âReally, it happens. I lived over a cafe, Iâm used to spills! I just... hope I can read this when it dries, I donât know if I can remember some of these lyrics...â
fastcrthanfast:
âOh, bad luck.â Bonnie cringed at the mess. She handed the girl her own napkins because she felt bad for her.Â
âThanks.â Nora tried not to pout, accepting the napkins with a thankful smile. Using one hand while the other gingerly gripped her notebook, she placed them atop the spill to mop up some of the spill. âI shouldnât be surprised, my luck isnât great, but this is just a bummer.â
d-blake:
âReally? I like that idea a lot. Can you pinky promise? No one breaks those, my best friend says itâs bad luck to break them.
âYour best friend is wise.â Nora smiled, extending her pinky for the younger girl. âI pinky promise.â
whydidyoutakemeaway:
This is the greatest thing to ever happen to me, holy shit. No one can give me shit for acting like Iâm 20 still now.Â
Well then, congratulations! Iâm just glad my mom is in San Francisco, because I donât think Iâd be able to handle that.
âNoooo.â Water spilled across the table, drenching Noraâs notes as the now empty cup rolled off the surface. The blonde quickly pulled her notebook from the mess and liquid subsequently dripped from it, adding more to the spill on the table. âItâs fine, this is fine, Iâll just... rewrite them...â
taigecomingthrough:
âOh, how the other half livesâŠyâall are so spoiled at this place. Itâs crazy.â
âIn comparison to other places?â Nora shrugged. âIt is pretty nice.â She was used to sharing a one bedroom apartment over a coffee shop with her mother before coming to Walt for high school, and the campus definitely didnât compare.
zer0-de-luca:
Kyle picked up the Walt Academy handbook, flipping through the pages. âHuhâŠthose words arenât really my thing, ja feel?âÂ
âEveryoneâs kinda supposed to follow them, so...â
