Can you do a scenario where Yuu opens up about having a dead parent to Leona (more specifically a dead dad)? Thank you so much! I love your writing so!

A Birth Worth Dying For [Leona Kingscholar]
Leona didn’t care for his birthday. Sure, some people like Epel, Jack and Ruggie got him things, but, by now, he had expected them to go out of their way to do something like that. The only other person outside those three, oddly enough, was Ortho (kid was using his free will, who was he to stop him). Then came the texts from the family: a little extra pocket change from Ma (like he needed it), his sister-in-law (and by extension Cheka) would force him into a video call so he could hear the brat screech. And of course, an annoyingly long and uncomfortable message from Felena.
But nothing from his dad.
Which, yeah, he literally couldn’t get anything from his dad—he’s dead. But man… he found himself missing him more and more every year his birthday rolled around.
His relationship with his dad wasn’t the best, but there were more good memories that outweighed the few bad ones. But then he got sick and the memories of him became few and far between until…
He was gone. He remembered the palace being an absolute uproar of a mess that day, and when he should have been ushered back to his room by his nanny, he was left alone to find the state his father left in.
And he hated that. How could he smile when so many people were left here to pick up the pieces? How could he leave Ma behind? What could he and Felena pick up the pieces when they were just kids themselves? His feelings bubbled and bubbled until it felt like he was choking, and when his fist clenched the comforter tighter—
“Your Highness!” That was all it took for him to be rough grabbed by the elbow and escorted out his father’s room.
With only the sand left in his still clenched tiny hands.
That sand now rested in a tiny jar that hadn’t seen the light of day since it was filled.
And to this day, he still had conflicted feelings over the whole thing.
He doesn’t really understand how he got in this situation. Sitting on one of the benches in the courtyard with a cake and a small and very-obviously-first-time handmade lion plush in the dead of night (when he should definitely be in his bed). Which, fuck it, sure, he could see himself being talked into dealing with one last “happy birthday” if it came with cake. What he didn’t get is how you had so easily wormed your way pass his carefully placed defenses, and had him opening up about shit he had never told another soul—not even his Ma knew about any of this.
And yet, you, a stranger that he had only spoken when he had to, knew it all.
“You know what sucks?” you began as your smile wobbled, “Our birthdays are only a full day apart. No matter what I always remember his and ask myself: ‘Oh, how old would daddy have been this year?’ But I don’t get an answer, and the day goes on. I forget about it by the time I go to sleep, and then I wake up, and it’s mine…” You trailed off.
Leona watched as you took your bottom lip between your teeth and your eyes darted around (except toward him), until you took a deep breath and continued.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to stop. I was just wondering how unfiltered I should go.” you laughed. It was quiet, and broken by how aggressively your leg was bouncing.
He shrugged, “I mean, I’ve been around the block. ‘m sure I can handle it.”
“I wake up and ask myself why am I still bothering. I should have joined him a lot earlier.”
He just had to open his fatass mouth.
But you laughed again, and this time it was a little less broken.
“But hey,” your gaze met his, and despite the way the unshed tears made them glassy, he could still see the life in them, “I gotta still be here for a reason, right?”
At that moment he realized, even if everything wasn’t okay, this moment was.
And that the two of you were allowed to celebrate the life given to you by the men who left before you.
Let's cry over our dead daddies :)
Oh you know, I realized as I was editing this, Leona sure does go from "dad" to "father"…
Good luck! Hope y'all ready for more angst :)
:) You picked the right person to write something about dead daddies :)
And I wasn't going to do this because it hits too close to home, and then an idea popped in my head, and now everyone gets to be sad
I almost cried writing this (but I sure did suck those tears back up like Earl Devereaux from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs lol
However, I might cry if y'all leave comments lol
Also! This is being posted the moment I get Leona's 5Bday Card!
