This is even more Unicorn Academy headcanon and worldbuilding slop but hey if the show won't deliver you gotta do it yourself😎😎

I actually made the designs for these 2 maybe a year ago but I gave 'em an update and decided I should share them with the world(and also bcuz the Void has a fic about her and the Sapphires on my ao3 lol def not self advertisement)

The Origin came into existence when the vast nothing became something. Their long journey led them to a quaint lump of rocks where they decided to establish life. Their flesh became the land, their tears became the many lakes and rivers and their blood alongside the magic of the stars shaped the first inhabitants of the island. However, the Origin had unintentionally angered the other residing deity. The Void attacked, attempting to erase what the other had created. Although they bested the Void with ease, the damage had been done. Bearing the full weight of their actions, the Origin gave up their physical body to restore what was lost and bless the inhabitants with exceptional magical abilities. When the island split it into two their connection to it weakened even more. According to legend, if the two islands were to unite again the Origin would regain their body but many believe it to be impossible.

As the personification of emptiness, the Void has no clear beginning. It simply always had been and always will be. And for eons it was the sole ruler of everything until another deity was born. When they trespassed on what was it's beautiful barrens, the Void attacked it's fellow deity with the objective of destroying their beloved creation. After it's failure, it's physical body was banished and it's magic was locked away. While it had no direct influence over the mortal realm, it could still poison the minds of the island's inhabitants and with the Origin weakened it was only a matter of finding someone feeble-minded enough to liberate it.
