Your f/o says "I'd do anything for you" in this very soft, very sincere voice and the implication of anything just hangs there in the air between you. You know what they're capable of, what they've done before.
i recently started watching the boys (ik i'm late bc it's now over and i know how it ends) and i have a few homelander x reader ideas
BUT
i don't think my signature brand of vanilla sweetness suits him so i'm kind of stuck
that being said the idea that is currently bouncing around my head is homelander and his free use pr manager, trying to get her off while she's on a call to vought
"no, he would not be soft to you, he would actually kill you-" dooooon't care, make that man sobbing pathetically on his knees as he begs for you to stay.
Bruce Wayne does not drink, does not smoke and avoids substances. He drinks root beer and tea drinks during functions to keep up the act.
This is canon, and probably the only "discourse" I will bother with on this account but It's one quality people keep ignoring for jokes and any other reason and no one mentions it as positive trait.
I love that he is this focused, for all the stupid writing done around his eating habits the fact that they made it clear Brucie does not actually get drunk is amazing.
Drinking and smoking would not make him any more "cool" or "aesthetic" HE IS BATMAN

Guys like Ash normally would give Y/N the creeps. But there was something about the way he acted like a real-life Archie comics character that was endearing to her. Usually, she would have told him where to go and tried her best to ignore him.
Usually.
But Ash was different. His style of flirting was undoubtedly corny, and he would frequently get her in trouble with the store manager when he drifted out of housewares to the ladies' clothing department where she worked, making lame jokes about lingerie until one of her coworkers would chase him out. Maybe it was because he was undeniably handsome, even when he showed up to work with a cut on his face or a bruise somewhere. Maybe it was because he actually tried to get to know her, and was looking for a friend as well as some pussy.
Agreeing on a friends-with-benefits situation with him was easy. However, stopping herself from eventually catching feelings felt impossible.
Y/N's first instinct was to cut things off with Ash, since she'd broken their golden rule of not catching feelings for the other person. But every time she thought about how she would end things with him, she would picture in her head the way he would look disappointed and reconsider.
You could just keep hooking up with him and not tell him how you feel, she thought as she cashed up for the night. Being dishonest was likely better than not having Ash at all, but she didn't want to keep lying to him.
He'd asked her earlier in the day if she wanted to hang out after work, but she'd turned him down, giving him an excuse of having dinner with her parents, when she really just needed some time to think. Thankfully, he wasn't upset, just shooting her that easygoing smile that made her melt and saying that they could always make plans another time.
If there was another time, that is.
"Hey, can I talk to you later?" Ash asked Y/N at lunch, catching her off guard as she was grabbing a coffee from the break room's vending machine. "Somewhere more private than here."
Y/N took a glance around the break room, looking at the few other S-Mart employees lingering at tables or standing, trying to deduce if there were any gossipers among them. The blue-smocked workers were all in their own little worlds, talking amongst each other or eating their meals, not paying attention to her or Ash at all.
Her skin prickled as she mulled over his question, her heart starting to race and her hands sweating. A thousand thoughts about what he wanted to talk about ran through her head, her mind warring with itself over whether to agree to talk to him later or to say that he could talk to her right there and then.
But instead, all she could bring herself to say was a meek 'okay'.
The expression on Ash's face was difficult to read, neither pleased nor sad, and it just made Y/N worry more. For the rest of her lunch break, it was all she could focus on, leaving her coffee to go cold and her food uneaten.
"What did that guy from housewares want with you?" Y/N's coworker asked when she got back to her post in the ladies' department. "He's always hanging around you like a cat in heat."
"Nothing," Y/N said, a lot sharper than she'd meant to. "We were just talking."
"Arranging another date?" her coworker asked, wiggling her eyebrows knowingly.
Y/N abruptly stopped in her tracks, stunned.
"We're not dating, we're just friends."
"Sure, and I'm Elle Macpherson." Y/N rolled her eyes and tried to make herself look busy. "Come on, Y/N, I've seen the way he looks at you; he clearly likes you. And you obviously like him back or else you wouldn't be fucking him off the clock."
Her face getting hotter by the second, she turned to face her and tried to hide her embarrassment.
"What exactly makes you say that? Maybe I just want to have a little fun with him."
"Those goo-goo eyes you make at him when he goes back to housewares don't lie. You want him so badly."
Y/N sighed deeply; the jig was finally up.
"Okay, fine. I like him more than a friend, but I don't want to ruin what we've got going on. We made a deal: no feelings."
"Sounds like you've gotta talk to him about it then," her coworker said, the teasing tone gone from her voice. "It can't be that bad."
"He said he wanted to talk to me after work, so I could mention it then," Y/N said as she picked up a pile of sweaters that needed to be folded.
"Don't get so worked up about it, I'm sure it'll all work out fine."
God, I hope so, Y/N thought, trying to shove any worries to the side.
At the end of her shift, Y/N took her time getting ready to leave, knowing that Ash was waiting for her out by his car. Had she been in a better headspace, she would have just walked home, since he was her ride in more than one way, but her anxiety forced her feet to move towards him, her eyes focused on the ground.
As soon as he saw her approach, he opened the passenger side door for her to climb in, ever the gentleman for her. She mumbled a thanks before the door closed and watched him round the front to get in the passenger side. Her leg bounced as she squashed her hands between her thighs, trying to think of what she could say to him.
She was brought out of her thoughts by Ash closing the driver's side door behind him. An uncomfortable silence weighed heavily between them as she watched the wheels turn in his head, obviously not knowing what he wanted to say either. Something about Ash's blockheadedness was endearing; Ash was obviously a smart guy since he had an engineering degree, but he had his moments when he clearly needed to do a lot more thinking than he was used to.
"Listen," Ash said after a heavy sigh. "I don't think we can do this whole 'friends with benefits' thing anymore."
She knew it was coming, but hearing him say it still felt like a knife to the heart. Her chest twisted as she mulled over his words, hoping that he'd said something completely different.
"Okay," she said, trying to keep her cool. "Why? Was it something I did, or is there someone else?"
"No, it's nothing you've done, you're great. Perfect, even. It's me who's the problem."
What is he talking about? Y/N wondered. How is he the problem?
"So, what's the problem then?" she asked, the words slowly leaving her mouth.
Ash took in another deep breath and let it out slowly, his fingers curling against his pants.
"I broke the golden rule." He waited for Y/N to say something, but she waited for him to continue, her mind visibly turning. "And it wasn't for lack of trying, you're really hard to not like. I know this started as a sex thing, but the more we kept doing it, the more I liked just hanging out with you. I get it if you don't feel the same way-"
"You too, huh?" Y/N said, breaking off his babbling.
"What?" Ash asked in surprise, blinking at her as his flow was cut off.
"I spent all day trying to figure out how to tell you that I'd broken the rule, only for you to tell me the same thing."
Ash was quiet for a moment, a smile breaking out on his face before he breathed out a soft chuckle.
"I guess we would have saved ourselves a lot of trouble if we'd just been honest with each other, huh?"
Y/N gave a laugh of her own, shaking her head as she did. "I feel so stupid, I spent all day worrying over nothing."
Relief washed over her like a tidal wave, making her lean back in her seat as she got all of her laughter out of her system, Ash joining her in the sweetest duet.
"So now what?" Y/N asked once they'd both calmed down. "What happens now?"
"We could give this whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing a try. If you want."
Y/N was quiet for a moment, not for thinking but to let the words settle in her brain. A smile broke out on her face and she leaned over the seat to take his face in her hands. Gently, she pressed her lips to his, savouring the warmth of his face and the way he hummed softly when he kissed her back.
The scent of his Old Spice drifted through her senses as he pulled her into his lap, the steering wheel brushing against her back as she moved. It didn't matter that they were still in the S-Mart parking lot, or that there were likely customers and co-workers who could see what they were doing; she needed to show him how she felt for him, and to feel how he felt for her in return.
"I'll take that as a yes," Ash mumbled against her mouth, a smile of his own on his lips.
"Of course it is, you dummy," she said between kisses before pulling away to rest her forehead against his. "Of course I want to try this with you."
"Good," he said with a warm smile. "This whole 'just friends' thing was getting old anyway."
The sound of a car horn blaring outside made them both jump, so Y/N climbed out of Ash's lap and back onto the seat beside him. Her lips still tingled from kissing him, and her body felt cold without him, making her shuffle closer to him so he could wrap an arm around her shoulders.
"We should probably get out of here soon," he said as he reached under the wheel to turn the key in the ignition, keeping his arm around her. "Don't want anyone to start gossiping about us, huh?"
"I'm sure people were already gossiping about us," Y/N said as she settled further into him, just enough to keep his hand on the wheel."
She kept her eyes on the road ahead of them, but she was sure that she could see a couple of employees gawking at them. She refused to let it even phase her, she had a man to focus her attention on instead.
"So, what are we going to do tonight?" she asked once they were out of the parking lot.
"Well," Ash said, that heartbreakingly boyish grin breaking out on his face. "I figured we'd go home, chill out a little, and then I'll show you how a girlfriend gets treated."
