A snowy day in Cleveland ❄️

We had a really intense snow fall (it’s still coming down) so I decided to take a walk for some coffee and bring my camera with me. I’m so glad I ended up doing this! It’s such a nice thing To now have these photos to look back on now and that they’re a photo journalism style.

I’ve always loved high fashion editorial looks and photography. These are the first self portraits I’ve taken in a long time and I’m trying to do them more regularly. Just photographing often helps me see how I can do things better and figure out issues I run into, which then allow me to deliver a better experience for my clients. I had put off self portraits for so long as I had a lot of internal narratives I had to work on. I had realized I was scared of success and would self sabotage.... it’s something I now am accepting and am NOT claiming for myself. I’m changing the narratives and am claiming peace and strength. We all are capable of success. Remember, success is relative. What does it mean to you?

Hi there! I’m Ali, and I’m a freelance photographer local to Cleveland. I’ve studied fine art and have worked in just about any art medium - painting, print making, drawing, ceramics, jewelry making and so on. However, the camera has captured my heart and soul.
