How to help your artists - The circle of influence.
So over the past 10-15 years, as Iāve been trying to branch out, grow a following and sell commissions, thereās one phrase Iāve heard more than any other.
āIād love to support you, but I have no money.ā
And you know, I get that. I understand. I donāt have any either. But hereās the secret. The most powerful and useful thing you can do to support an artist? It doesnāt cost a penny. Reblog their posts, signal boost their commissions, advertise their patreon./ If you have commissioned them, or do support their patreon? Write a review, tell your friends, share their links. Keep circulating the tapes.
Every post is an artist laying themselves bare before you. You have the power to make them into somebody. You can make them into a big name, you can help bring them an income. All you have to do is share.
Hereās a handy infographic.
If artists get only likes, they never get any exposure. They find no followers, they make no money, and feel worthless.
But with reblogs, who knows how far they could reach? New people could see their work and follow them, and maybe one person will spot that commissions post or patreon promo, and maybe offer to help support them. And it didnāt even cost those followers a penny to reblog the post.
So please, anyone out there. If you enjoy an artistās work and canāt afford to give any monetary support, you can give them something more powerful. A voice.
And authors, too. Please reblog and share author commissions!
To use the first 200 reblogs of this post as an example:Ā
That orange dot is OP!Ā Look at how far those first few reblogs spread this post!Ā
Can I also add!!!!!!
This doesnāt work if you repost art.
Especially when you remove the credit, you break the web of connections. Only only only ever repost an artistās context if you have ALREADY asked them and they have ALREADY given EXPLICIT permission

art cheats
hello i am here today to not lose track of the art cheats i have discovered over the years. what i call art cheat is actually a cool filter/coloring style/way to shade/etc. that singlehandedly makes art like 20 times better
80ās anime style
glitch effect
glow effects
adding colors to grayscale paintings
foreshortening ( coil )
foreshortening ( perspective )
clipping groupĀ (lines)
clipping group (colors)
dramatic lighting ( GOOD )
shading metal
lighting faces
that is all for today, do stay tuned as i am always hunting for cool shit like this
guys stop reblogging this these are cheats the CIA will come for you
āI donāt care what you think....

me: god youre so smart
āIām blonde,Ā Iām skinny,Ā Iām rich,
and Iām a little bit of a bitchā
Why artists and writers reblog their work multiple times:
They posted it late at night and want people to see it in the daytime
They want others to reblog it
They want more attention for it
THEY WANT OTHERS TO REBLOG IT
They have followers in different timezones and want everyone to get a chance to see it
THEY WANT OTHERS TO REBLOG IT
IF THEY REBLOG IT MULTIPLE TIMES, THEYāRE DOING IT BECAUSE THEY WANT ATTENTION FOR IT AND THEYāRE LIKELY NOT GETTING ENOUGH, SO THEY KEEP REBLOGGING IT IN THE HOPES THEYāLL GET SOME
BE A COOL BRO AND REBLOG
THEYāLL LOVE YOU FOREVER
āBro why you keep reblogging your own work broā āBECAUSE NO ONE ELSE ISā
The same reason movies play in theaters for longer than one night.
The same reason art exhibits last for days.
The same reason music isnāt listened to only once.
Reblogging for the last comment! ššš
