Court Documents Describe Prison Life For Suspected Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

In respect to legal phone calls, no person, other than pre-cleared attorneys, paralegals, or investigators may participate in phone calls with Tsarnaev or even “listen to or overhear” any part of the calls. Calls cannot be recorded.

Tsarnaev's non-legal mail, phone calls, and visits are restricted to immediate family members only.

Tsarnaev can send only one letter — comprised of three double-sided pages — to one adult per week.

Only one adult can visit Tsarnaev at a time, and there can't be any physical contact.

Family members aren't allowed to record phone calls with Tsarnaev or discuss the contents of their communication with any third party. (In June, Tsarnaev's mother released a recording of one of her calls with her son from prison.)

Tsarnaev isn't allowed to talk to the media.

Tsarnaev isn't allowed to share a cell, participate in group prayer service, or communicate with any of the other inmates.

Tsarnaev has limited outdoor access and is only allowed to see the outside world in a small, outdoor enclosure.

Write FOR Jahar

Saw this idea posted elsewhere & thought I would share here as I think it is a very good & important step.

With some supporters claiming that they have had their letters to Jahar returned to them (for a reason we’re still looking into…3 different reasons are going around)

I would urge you for the next few weeks to write FOR Jahar instead of TO Jahar - in the fight to save his life. ESPECIALLY FOR MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS but for U.S. citizens everywhere. MA. Attorney General Martha Coakley will decide whether to recommend the death penalty for Jahar by or before 10/31…not only should Jahar supporters involve themselves, but death penalty opponents you know also should join us in this - please ask them to!!!…Contact Martha Coakley and ask her not to recommend the death penalty in this case!

CNN asked a reporter if Dias and Azamat knew about Jahar’s involvement in the Boston Bombings. She said their response is that they didn’t get enough information of evidence to see if he committed the crime…

Todashev's friends have said they were questioned by the FBI in the days before the fatal shooting, and threats were made suggesting that if the friends did not spy on local mosques, they would risk having their immigration statuses changed.

UPDATE: Azamat & Dias pleaded not guilty, both of them said “Not guilty” twice. September 26 will be their status conference!

Maybe Dias got rid of the backpack cuz there were fireworks in there. Fireworks are illegal in Massachusetts, so maybe that was the extent of his knowledge about what was going on when he threw the backpack away. Maybe that’s why he thought Jahar would get in trouble.

Azamat's father, who was present at the time of Azamat and Dias' arrest, said in this interview,

I said, "You wanted to help Jahar?" He said, "Dad, if we wanted to help him right now, then we would throw the laptop out, but we didn't want to throw anything out. It's just that Kadyrbayev got scared, and he threw out just the bag. If we wanted to help him, then we would have thrown the laptop out, too. Then we'd bury the bag in the ground."

He went on to say that, after the agents entered the house, Azamat and Dias handed Jahar's laptop in.

“He would call me every day from America in the last days,” Zubeidat Tsarnaev said Sunday in a telephone interview with The Times from her home in the Russian republic of Dagestan, “and during our last conversation on the morning [before the shootout], he was especially touching and tender and alarmed at the same time,” she said. “He said he got a private phone call from [the FBI] and said that they told him he was under suspicion and should come see them. ‘If you need me, you will find me,’ he said, and hung up,” she said, beginning to sob.

“When [Tamerlan] talked to me that last time, Dzhokhar was in his house too, and he said he would give him a lift home,” their mother said. “And then the next day my daughter Bella called me and said, ‘Mama, turn on the television.’ ... Now I live with the television turned on at all times,” she said, crying again.”

I have read that he studied marine biology for his first year, and later changed to nursing, but I see he tweeted to Junes that he was studying biology.

I agree with some of you who think its good that Dzhokhar declined his ear surgery.

I mean who knows what the doctors could possibly do to him. If I was him I would fear too.

Exactly. Having major surgery is daunting for everyone, and in Jahar's case, he has to go into it completely alone, knowing he won't wake up to his family by his side. His hesitation is justified.

Within 30 seconds of this music video, you can see the Tsarnaev brothers images on the screen (Which could be a reference to the media today).

The ending of the music video is a quote saying “Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.”

Part of the hook in the song is referring on how the Government is the biggest threat to society by trying to show they do good but cause the problems themselves.

It's also interesting that as the brothers appear on screen, he raps the words, "I don't think the streets are safer"

The video also shows an image of Adam Lanza, which I wanted to point out because Tech N9ne has another called My Haiku - Burn The World, in which he addresses the Boston bombings, along with the Sandy Hook shooting and Ariel Castro:

The imagery is thought-provoking for sure, but I don't think showing Tamerlan and Jahar in the video was necessarily a nod to their innocence, unfortunately.

Leave aside the fact that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been convicted of nothing and is thus entitled to a presumption of innocence. The reason to care what happens to him is because how he is treated creates precedent for what the US government is empowered to do, including to US citizens on US soil. When you cheer for the erosion of his rights, you're cheering for the erosion of your own.
