“Imoti's naga tribe relied on a single river to provide them with water. Tragically, a distant battle between unrelated parties resulted in the river being polluted by dark magic. Imoti is the only member of her tribe who possesses the blessing of the god of nature, and therefore she is the only one who can pass that blessing to the river, rendering it potable.

To that end, she spends hours each day beneath the waterfall that flows into the river, constantly casting a purifying spell. The tribe tried to elevate her to leader, but she refused, knowing there were others who were better suited to rule. I’m pretty conflicted about UR

On one hand I like Magic as a template to explore these other IPs universes and I would definitely enjoy getting some of those cards

But the flavor integrity of Magic is at stake here. Like I didnt want Magic to become a huge crossover franchise like superfandoms or something in the 2010s.

I just dunno. The can of worms is opened now.

Ok ok ok, I’m uninterested in almost everything about Strixhaven EXCEPT Lorehaven! Like I’ve been wanting archaeology and red/white magic for a while and it’s my fave. Sorry Alirios, instead of the red/blue artsy school I know you want you’re getting crammed into Lorehaven. Go study some old Therosian statues or something lol

I’m kinda sad I’ll have to retool my snow deck to take out white and not use Merieke anymore, but green is honestly really good for snow and like my favorite mtg color. I’d be super stoked if there was a good mono white legend for snow so ai could both have a mono white deck and somewhere to put the white snow cards. We’ll see!
